  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

Hi! Got a new computer recently... and managed to either get one with a faulty hard drive, or completely borked it up from weird Firefox updates!

So, new computer 2, electric boogaloo is a go, but I'd really like to avoid Firefox shenangans if that is what caused it.

Chrome is my main browser, but the death of uBlock Origin has made it a non-starter for anything more iffy than Space Battles or QQ. Firefox had uBlock, and was my go-to choice on the PC this one is replacing, but....

Anyways. What's a good browser with a good adblocker?

Firefox shouldn't do crazy ass things to your actual OS... XD

But... have you considered Microsoft Edge?

I joke... but I do recommend trying Firefox again... just be careful with the extensions and updates, do them one at a time, so you know what you can remove.

What do you mean 'death of ublock origin'? I have it and it works fine. But if it doesn't block everything for you, pair it with adblock and it should suffuce.

Now, when you mean "other than firefox or chrome', do you mean just those two specifically, or ALL browsers based on firefox or chrome baseline? Like Brave?

Because you'll have a hell of a time finding others. Tor browser will do it, but it's slow.

I doubt Microsoft Edge won't be worse.
