Status update, so far things are looking good, the water doesn't seem to be getting higher, the dog house in the back hasn't floated away (too dark to see the level of water out there), and no electrical surges or such.

Meh.

It's wet.

It's annoying.

I'm dry.

I have internet.

I'll deal with whatever crap ends up happening in the daylight, like a normal Hyooman, assuming the roads drain. *shrug*
*chews on popcorn*
*clicks mandibles*

(Basically, I'm doing my best to ignore that Harvey's out there. XD)

Everyone safe so far?

Glad that you are good Squirrelly.

still here and things seemed to have calmed down.
I've been hearing in some places the flooding has gotten as high as up to people's chest. And this is only day 2 of what may be a good 5 days of solid rain...

At least it's not a full hurricane anymore though. Downgraded to Tropical storm I think. (Less wind to worry about... still got to deal with the rain... probably less tornadoes too... I'm not certain on that)

Loooot of fucking water. House is dry. Water over curbs which is a bit frightening. Main internet currently down on their end. Officemay have taken it in the arse. No way to check until water goes down enough to safely get there. Still have power and water, tho. Which is very nice.

Oh, and now it is raining again, because clearly what we needed was more rain.

Going back to sleep.

Fucking Invisible Rabbit. Z.z

the area around the Gulf Freeway and area between I-10 & 1-45 are the spots that have flooding up to the 2nd story

KHOU one of the news stations here in Houston had to abandon thier studio due to the raising water.

edit:apology if it's a double post but I think this bit of info is important

Still grumpy. Streets are flooded. House still dry. Local sewer plant is overwhelmed. Neighbors have standimg water, local bayou is just flooding. About knee high balfway down my front lawn.

Hopefully some time to drain before next blast of rain.

So, uh, how is everyone in the affected areas? Because word elsewhere is that Houston is practically paralyzed, because of flooding, and the Harris County Sheriff's Office is reporting that all 22 of their watersheds are over banks. Which is worrying.

Plus all the tornado warnings and such in and around the southeast of Texas.

Southcentral Houston near medical center here. Worst we have ever seen.

currently here in the austin/bastrop area the place is fairly bad, I've heard people being evacuated by boats and some houses near me are under waist deep water. The road for my street is currently clear and my house hasn't been affected yet but still afraid that might change if the rain resumes.

Meh. Ovee curbs, about knee deep halfway down my front walk, bit might have a bit of a break in storms. Problem is it flooded south first, which is whefe we drain.

Fairly mild, all things considered. Still have power and water. At least we are not poor bastards in Meyerland.

Still worried about my brother.
