Hi. Got nothing catchy. I like to read books and write fanfiction. Yes, first and foremost I'm seeking Beta readers for my stuff on Archive of our Own. The key difference between me and your average smut peddler is, I am currently engaged in a world building project of epic proportions.
Picture it! An island paradise, said to be haunted by angry spirits. Though the ocean's waters are pristine, the beaches clean if desolate...till you come upon a head skewered on a pike. Stamped on his face is a red footprint, while a headdress arcs his brow in a rainbow of feathers. First you hear the snickering of hyenas, then the distant rumble of sinister drums. Ignorant of the dangers within you dash into the woods, and run for your life. Your desperate pants are soon joined by others. A noble tiger roars in the distance. The way is barred by thousands of strange green vines ensnared upon every rock and tree. The forest is dark as twilight, the air is glimmering with fireflies. Faster and faster you run, but with each step the drums pound closer and closer. Flying through the trees, they come. Swinging from vines, or riding bareback upon giant hyena-wargs. With feathers in their black bob cut hair, and chevron war paint on their supple brown bodies. Each carries either a spear, a bone club, bow and arrow; spinning slings, and bolas. All their crude weapons pointed at your back. Your crime? Profaning their sacred land with your unworthy feet. You turn back just once, mesmerized by what you see.
Shojo...Tribal warriors to be sure, but they're all shojo! Beautiful in their prime, and as fierce an Aztec horde. And you? You are their next sacrifice...
Hence my username. I basically plan on writing a series of fanfictions set in this world I've made; expanding on its lore and rules as I go. The first story is currently hidden to anyone that doesn't have an Archive of Our Own account. You can find it under "The Zukalaka Saga".
I'm also a big fan of Studio Ghibli (duh), the works of Lovecraft, and Robert Howard. Berserk is best anime. Yuri is best genre.
