Multi-quote button for locked threads

It would be pretty neat if one could quote a post in a locked thread (for reply in another thread, or in a PM) without having to be a moderator. Obviously, the "Reply" button" needs to be locked out for locked threads, but the multiquote button doesn't.

A limited version can be done just by copying the post link alongside the content quoted in question, but it isn't the same functionality as what you propose, though.

Seems to me like a feature, not a bug. I doubt mods want to make it easier to export locked arguments. If you really want to quote it, you can manually format it with the post ID number from the post URL.

There are some cases where this applies. There are other cases where the discussion was not relevant to the threadlock (e.g. old discussions in a story thread since locked for necromancy) or where the thread was locked for the discussion being okay but off-topic to that thread/subforum.
