So I recently have been trying to write a dragon age fic and I'm having a little trouble deciding how to proceed. The MC is the son of a marquis who gets outed as a mage and I have three possible routes from there.
1st, he is taken to Montsimmard Circle where he is mentored by Vivienne before he escapes it due to plot.
2nd, he escapes while he is being transported to the Circle and becomes a wandering mage. The only hangup is that MC is currently 8 years old so him being on his own seems a bit ludicrous even if he's a reincarnate with a certain 'boon'
3rd,instead of sending him to the Circle, his family fake his death and exiles him to Ferelden in secret to avoid the shame of giving birth to a mage. Due events MC ends up working for the Couslands while hiding the fact he is a mage.
4th, is a lot like two. But instead of becoming a wanderer he some how ends up in Orzammar and is raised by the dwarves
The first one is mainly because I kind of want MC to have some connection with a named character and I feel like Vivienne is used rarely in these types of scenarios.
The last one is mostly me trying something new since I rarely see fics where the MC is raised amongst dwarves unless he/she is one themselves
Which of these scenarios do you think I should do?
