  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

Hi I was wondering if it was possible to get alerts for all new threadmark. As of now I only get alerts for big updates, but not the small ones. Ex. I am watching the quest Child of iron, the author is recently sick so only uploads interludes, the interludes are small so they don't trigger an alert.

The limit at present is 500 words.

It'd be up to the admins such as alethiophile or ultima333 to lower that to whatever... I mean the limitation was originally meant to have it so that not all random OP posts would trigger notifications. So... erm...

Isn't possible to seperate threadmark notifications to normal alerts? That way even if the op posted a threadmarked post less than 500 it would still get pinged but not otherwise?

That's... not doable.

But you could play around with the alerts setting... so that you could get e-mails from your alerts and such... or alternatively, you could set your watch to alert you whenever the thread gets a post... but that requires for you to view the thread before it sends new alerts.

And it'd send alerts whenever anyone posts in it.

I assume the current forum software doesn't support "New Threadmark" pages like SB, SV, or AH have?
