While history is simmering, ready to boil over, people continue to be just... people, even in the Mojave Wasteland.

This is the story of a lot of people and the choices they make, but really it's a story about four people and how the choices they make change one another forever.

    I'm new to posting on this forum. I generally just post my fics on AO3, maybe tumblr, and hope. However, I've been trying to hope for a little more community around fics that otherwise wouldn't get much traffic. Fallout isn't my main fandom by any means, but I recently started to watch the Amazon TV show, and Fallout New Vegas in particular is one of my comfort games. I have posted on SV before, but even there the moderation philosophy makes me a little nervous despite my work mostly being well within the bounds of most content moderation. I just always worry about stepping outside the lines...

    I guess I'll use this post for author's notes, references, and other content related to but not within the story itself.

    Some background that might be relevant: I started writing this fic in 2020, right before everything hit the fan. I had a groove for it, but I lost it for obvious reasons beyond my control, and I am using this as my inaugural posting fic in this writing forum format because it's an ongoing project that I could really use some support to finish, if anyone enjoys it. I would appreciate engagement.

    Most chapters are probably T or M for canon-typical violence, but some future chapters may contain E for explicit sexuality.

    Elevator Pitch
    This is a story focusing on a female Courier Six, Arcade Gannon, Benny Gecko, and Craig Boone. It's an ensemble fic that will probably include sex and violence. It's sort of a playthrough novelization, but it may take liberties in the form of addressing mods or simply diverting from what is possible within the parameters of the game. Among other things, I like focusing on ideas about moral ambiguity and redemption, and I have been enthralled by the mod which allows you to recruit Benny has a companion after freeing him from Caesar.

    Content Warnings
    I'll add anything I think is particularly opt-in here, if relevant. So far, canon-typical violence and availability of fucked up sexual choices, but as of posting, they haven't shown up much yet.
