My dreams, nowadays, are nightmares and weird dreams (supernatural, cosmic, uncanny, nostalgic, surreal). I figured, instead of forgetting most of them, save a vivid scene. I could post it here and let others post their dreams as well. That and you could use this thread as inspiration for writing or some other creative thing.

Now:

  1. What was your dream?
A nightmare. Me and my family, trapped within my house. Inconsistent, every second could've had that monster loom over us . A demon of sorts haunted us - which appeared in Lovecraftian aesthetics.

  1. Describe the dream, from beginning to end.
I awoke in my room. Straight from the start I knew something was off, I could feel and hear it: silence with a shroud of pressure on your back. A set of eyes staring. I remember pacing around and then returning to bed to sleep it all away.

My family ran down the halls, a vivid thing I remember is the echo of their footsteps on drywall poxed with insect husks. The next thing I remember is my family gathering and speaking to each other, as if they had outran the monstrosity (for now). The monster came again. She was strange looking: her entire body formed out of shifting intestines, these intestines looked like a bad sketch of jellyfish colored like dried kelp. She floated in the air, her lower body dragging a skirt of intestines which ended in white, chitinous hooks.

Strangest of all, her face. She had no eyes, just black spots where her eye-sockets would be. Her facial features were... uncanny: big eyes, small everything else - like a doll.

Her name popped in my head.

"She Un■■■"

Her last name, I don't know.

Next, while I slept, she arrived and restrained my mother and killed her. It was quite brutal as well: her face caved in, her mandible split, and the rest of her face bubbled in dark blood. Then she disappeared. And my mother rose from the brutal mauling like nothing happened.

I awoke, again. Full of suspicion and questions. Some more things happened after that. I remember talking to my little brother who managed to escape from the house, I whispered to him as quietly I could. Meet me on the riverbed. There wasn't any doubt, I believed my mother was possessed and at that moment, I felt like a mythological protagonist. This beast is meant to be tricked, outsmarted. My mindset leaned toward that.

After that, everything sped up as if in fast-foward. Then I woke up feeling isolated.

Used to have daily nightmares when I was very young. Most common one was about being chased by something really vague and abstract looking that I could never truly make out, even the colors and sounds were always different. It happened so often that I never needed to turn around to just "know" that it was a "chase sequence" and that I "needed" to run for whatever reason. Eventually, I started growing more and more lucid with my dreams and just closed my eyes and started counting numbers whenever I realized I was in one, always woke me up instantly. I don't dream at all anymore, or maybe I just don't remember?

  1. What was your dream?
Strange. I was with a crowd, there wasn't anyone leading us. If I remember correctly, we were all in a bog of sorts. A woodland dotted with deep puddles and willows. The puddles, the surfaces of them were painted with colored oil, like a digital image impressed on the water's surface. A cloudy starburst, a chemical fire burning thirteen different shades of color.

  1. What happened in your dream?
The worst was the helplessness if you got into the wrong puddle that wasn't for you. When your foot so much as even skimmed the surface you would feel... helpless. The best I can compare is this: everything or everyone became a danger. Your muscles tensed full of this electric awfulness, your heartbeat didn't race - it pounded like a war drum. And the only, terrifying, way to escape was to hurt someone. Really, it was primal.

I woke up alert, full of caution and attention. There was a pressure on my back, like a weighted towel or blanked that was slipping off my back.

I apologized to the characters for all the crap I did to them.

I appear in Hei Xiong's nightclub, where I walk like a huge piece of Aura to Yang Xiao Long and say with anguish SORRY. she stops dancing and looks at me with widening eyes in bewilderment, and I wake up in tears and go to class, telling all this to my friend, and we cry together... fucking...
