A massive vessel appeared near Earth that quickly moved to the L2 Lagrange point. A message has been sent to every human being old enough to have started puberty. Each of them has a choice to make.

Your race has developed to the point that you have been determined worth the cost of quantum psionic enlightenment. The Psionic Regulation Field around your star system will be disabled over the course of the next year. Thanks, I'm rather excited to do this. I haven't been able to do my GM thing in a while.
Yeah Natural development is slower but allows for truly custom abilities and never really stops growing, whereas Crystallization is a big power jump to begin with but is mostly static, unless you manage to exploit or leverage your choice into further growth munchkin style.
