Chapter 1: Another Chance?

Subaru stumbled forward, his heart pounding in his chest as he made his way towards the witch known as Pandora. She was said to be the most vain and prideful of all witches which was saying something. He had been warned by Dona not to approach her. But Subaru was nothing if not stubborn, and he refused to be intimidated by a mere witch.

It was the final battle. The Witch of Vainglory stood a few paces away. To others it was the final battle but for Subaru Natsuki it was the first in the line of many that were yet to come.

Just like before, he convinced his friends to let him go talk to her. Emilia resisted at first but seeing Subaru's firm gaze, she let him do as he wished. Afterall, Her knight was her hero, her friend but most of all he was her love. Surely he would just make a foolproof plan and they would become victorious as they had been before.

Subaru looked away from his friends and turned his face in the opposite direction. "One hundred and ninety seven. If it was the old me i would have lost my mind at this many reiterations."

As he made his way towards the witch, he shouted. "Still what about another one. And the one after that."

He was suddenly struck by a fierce blow that sent him flying backwards. He hit the ground with a sickening thud, his body writhing in pain. He groaned but unlike his body, it was annoyance that made him groan.

"C'mon! My jokes are a little funny. It wouldn't kill you to laugh a little."

Struggling to his feet, only to be struck down again and again. No matter how many times he tried, he simply couldn't defeat Pandora.

It wasn't just Subaru that was suffering, either. His friends were all falling, one by one, in gruesome yet creative ways. He had seen some truly sickening sights, and he couldn't help but wonder why he was even bothering to continue.

One by one he heard warcries of his friends for the last time. At least in this world.

[Al Shamak] was the last word he heard before utter silence reigned supreme once again.

Just as it did in the previous cycles.

As he lay there on the ground, groaning in pain, he couldn't help but crack a smile. "Well," he said, with a snarky grin, "it looks like I've been knocked down more times than a blind witch's broomstick."

With that, he picked himself up and continued his efforts, determined to bring Pandora down, no matter how many times he had to die to do it.

As Subaru continued to push forward, he found himself falling again and again. In each cycle, Pandora would appear, taunting him with her insults and jeers. She called him a disgusting monster, and laughed as she played with the lives of his loved ones.

Despite his repeated failures, Subaru refused to give up. He was determined to save his friends and put an end to Pandora's existence. But no matter what he tried, he simply couldn't win. He was always met with defeat, always struck down by her powerful magic. No... It was not magic. It was something else.

With each loss, Subaru grew more and more frustrated. He felt like a broken record, repeating the same cycle of death and defeat over and over again. He was sickened by the way Pandora toyed with him, and the thought of losing his friends was almost too much to bear.

Still, he refused to give up. He kept fighting, even as Pandora's taunts grew more and more cruel. But every time he thought he was getting close, he was struck down once again. It seemed like there was no hope for him, no way for him to win.

And yet, even in the face of defeat, Subaru never gave up. He kept pushing forward, driven by his desire to protect those he loved. He may never win, but he would always keep fighting, no matter what Pandora said or did.

Subaru did not knew for how long he had been fighting. It did not matter for time was only a suggestion to him anyways.

He just held onto the slivers of hope in his heart and pushed his feet against the ground. Before he could move forward, Pandora waved her hand. This resulted in him getting shredded to fibers. Once again the world went dark for this unsung hero.

'Natsuki Subaru! Ah! Such a sickening being. To have controlled fate for so long. Such CoNtRoL. SUCH POWER. To use without remorse. What a monster you are.' Exclaimed the platinum haired girl with a hint of mangled love.

If there was someone was left alive, they would question such a strange sight. A man of considerable stature and a small girl duking it out on a plain field. Someone with common sense would think that the girl is in danger but such a thought couldn't be further from the truth.

On one side there is a defenseless girl and on the other is a black haired man who seemed to be erratically moving. Yet his movements were not erratic. If one were to look closely at the place he was standing just a moment ago, they would see ground turned to cracks through sheer force.

It was a battle fought not with instinct but with experience.

Everytime the man seemed to be making an amateur mistake, he would dodge and cover up the distance between him and his enemy.

The man with the grin of a wild animal, covered distance even faster. Yet the girl was not worried. Just intrigued.

The man was in reach of her now. Still it was impossible for him to hurt her. Afterall she had not seen such a thing in any possible future.

'THUD!!!'

The man, exerted such force that would have easily killed any normal girl. Instead the girl took the brunt of his attack without flinching. This resulted in an unnatural bent in her neck.

She rubbed her neck, a pouty expression on her face. "That was mean," she said in a childish voice. "It's not nice to hurt a lady as cute as me."

But the boy was not affected in the slightest. "Oh, please," he snorted. "You're about as cute as a certain bunnies that i am quite familiar with."

As he spoke, her wounds began to heal, her body mended itself in a macabre manner. The sight was unsettling, but he refused to let it intimidate him. And with a snap, her unnaturally twisted neck returned to its normal state.

"You know even i have lost the count of how many times you have done this. I don't know how are you doing this but know this that there is no way to win." The girl said as she tilted her head.

"Does it matter?" The boy asked, a haunting smile stretching across his face.

"You impudent-"

But before she could complete her sentence, the man in front of her erupted into light. Slowly the light went dimmer yet not a speck of the boy could be seen.

"Where has my toy gone to? " The girl used her powers to find the answers to this dilemma but to no avail. Her toy did not return this time.

Subaru suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head, and his body went rigid. He was surrounded by a bright light. He felt like he was being pulled in a million different directions at once.

Slowly the light faded. Or was it his eyes getting used to such brightness. He was not sure.

'Huh?... Where am I?' He looked around only to find a familiar sight. A sight he thought he would never have been able to see.

A pair of evil yet gentle looking eyes gazed at him.

He had found himself back in his mother's arms, a tiny newborn once again. He was confused and disoriented, struggling to make sense of what had just happened.

But as he lay there, surrounded by his loving family, he knew that this was his chance to start again. He would use his knowledge from his past life to plan for the future, to prepare himself for the battles that lay ahead.

He would train himself, honing his skills and his resolve. And when the time was right, he would return to Pandora, ready to take her down once and for all.

For now, though, he was content to simply rest, basking in the warmth and love of his family. He was back home, and he was ready to start anew.

He was ready.

Ready to start this life from zero.

No! He would go beyond zero.

Before it all begin.

Chapter 2: Family Reunion

The day that Naoko and Kenichi gave their son a name was a day they would never forget. They had spent hours going back and forth between different names, trying to find the perfect one that embodied who their son was and what he would become.

As they sat in the nursery, gazing down at their sleeping son, they knew they had found the perfect name.

"Have you thought of what to name him?" Asked Kenichi.

"Subaru," Naoko said softly, tears streaming down her face. "It means 'to come together' in Japanese."

Kenichi nodded, his own eyes misty with emotion. "It's perfect," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "It symbolizes all the pieces of our family coming together to create one whole. Though the wordplay is clear. You really love stars of course not more than me right? " He teased out the last part.

Naoko ignored her husband's teasings and took his hands and gave them a tight squeeze. "We'll always be there for him, no matter what," she said, her voice filled with love and determination.

As they looked down at their son, they couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the love they felt for him. He was their world, their everything, and they would do anything to protect him and see him grow into the best version of himself.

They stood there in silence, watching as their son slept peacefully, dreaming of the future that lay ahead of him. They knew that life would be full of challenges and obstacles, but they were ready to face them head-on, as long as they had each other and their son by their side.

"I love you, Subaru," Naoko whispered, kissing her son's forehead.

Kenichi placed a hand on his son's head, his heart overflowing with love. "And I love you too kid " he said, smiling down at him.

From that moment on, Subaru was no longer just a newborn in a crib. He was a part of their family, and he would always be loved and cherished, no matter what the future held.

Naoko held her newborn son, a mixture of joy and concern written on her face. She looked down at the tiny bundle in her arms, taking in the sight of his peaceful, sleeping form. "He's so adorable," she whispered, smiling softly.

But her smile faded as she remembered one worrying detail. "Kenichi, he hasn't cried yet," she said, her voice filled with worry. "Is that normal?"

Her husband, Kenichi, looked just as concerned. "I don't know," he replied, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "I've heard that some newborns don't cry, but it's usually because they're too weak."

The couple exchanged worried looks, both of them worried about the health of their newborn son. But despite their concerns, they both refused to give up hope. They would do whatever it took to ensure that their child was healthy and happy.

And so, they held their son close, watching over him and doing their best to provide him with everything he needed. They were filled with love and determination, determined to give their son the best life possible.

Despite the uncertainty, they were confident that they could handle whatever challenges came their way. They were a family, and nothing could ever change that.

Days passed, and their son continued to grow, thriving under their loving care. They were overjoyed to see him developing normally, taking in the world around him with wide-eyed wonder.

Naoko and Kenichi took turns feeding and caring for their son, doing everything in their power to give him the best start in life. They watched in amazement as he began to grow and develop, and they were filled with pride at every new milestone he reached.

As the weeks went by, they noticed that their son was different from other babies. He was quiet and introspective, seeming to take in the world around him in a way that was both unusual and fascinating.

Naoko and Kenichi were both worried and excited, wondering what kind of person their son would become. They knew that he was special, and they were determined to give him every opportunity to succeed.

As the months passed, their son began to show signs of development beyond what was typical for his age. He crawled with a determination and focus that was unusual for a baby his size, and he seemed to have an innate understanding of the world around him.

Naoko and Kenichi were amazed and proud, watching as their son took in the world with wild curiosity.

And so, they continued to care for and nurture their son, always striving to give him the best life possible. They were filled with love and hope, knowing that they had a special child on their hands, and they were eager to see what the future would bring.

Naoko and Kenichi looked down at their son, both of them filled with a mixture of pride and concern. Despite his remarkable development, they couldn't shake the feeling that there was something different about their son, something that set him apart from other children.

"I don't know, Naoko," Kenichi said, shaking his head. "There's just something about him that worries me. It's like he's... No, It's nothing never mind."

Naoko nodded in agreement. "I know what you mean," she said, her voice filled with worry. "It's like he's staring at something far away."

Kenichi chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. "Well, it's not all bad," he said, smiling. "At least he's got a face that reminds me of my old man."

Naoko rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but smile. "That's not funny, Kenichi," she said, giving her husband a playful yet hard swat. "But I guess we'll just have to keep a close eye on him and make sure he's okay."

"Ouch! That stings" said Kenichi as he rubbed his back.

"Well then you should not have compared my sweet baby with an old man." Naoko said, in a threatening yet playful way.

As Subaru grew 6 months old, his parents watched in amazement as he began to relearn basic motor skills that most babies learned in their first few months. He crawled everyday to strengthen his muscles and much to the joy of his parents, today was the day he would take his first steps.

Subaru took his first steps with the help of his parents, who stood by his side, encouraging him every step of the way. As he stumbled and fell, they were there to pick him up, their voices filled with pride and love.

Subaru's thoughts were a jumbled mess as he tried to focus on each step. He felt as if he was puppeteer controlling a doll, wondering if he would be able to do it. But with each step, he grew more confident, his determination pushing him forward.

His parents cheered him on, their voices ringing in his ears. "You can do it, Subaru!" they called out. "Keep going, we're right here with you!"

Subaru took another step, then another, his legs growing stronger with each stride. And as he finally took his first independent steps, his parents erupted into applause, tears streaming down their faces.

Subaru beamed with pride, his heart swelling with gratitude for his parents' unwavering support. With their help, he knew that he could accomplish anything he set his mind to. And with that thought, he took another step, ready to tackle whatever challenges lay ahead.

Naoko and Kenichi were thrilled, watching as their son's determination and drive showed through in every aspect of his development. Despite their initial worries, they were filled with pride and hope, knowing that their son was truly one of a kind.

Subaru's parents were both shocked and amused when they heard their son speak for the first time. Naoko had been sitting by his side, humming a lullaby to help him sleep, when she heard him mumble in his sleep. At first, she thought she was imagining things, but then she heard it again, this time clearer.

"LOVE!LOVE!LOVE!LOVE!, " He muttered in his sleep, his little hands reaching out towards the ceiling.

Kenichi had been in the kitchen preparing a late-night snack when he heard the commotion. He rushed into the room to see what was happening and was met with the sight of his wife and son, both staring up at the ceiling with wide eyes.

"What's going on?" he asked, looking between the two of them.

Naoko turned to him, a bemused expression on her face. "He's speaking," she said simply.Kenichi's eyes widened in surprise. "What? Already? I thought his first words would be something cute but he's creeping me out. He definitely takes after you."

Naoko only gave a dangerous smile which was enough to send shiver down her husband's spine.

Subaru continued to mutter in his sleep, his voice growing louder and more excited with each passing moment. Naoko and Kenichi couldn't help but smile at their son's unique and quirky first words.

"Who would have thought our little one would be such a romantic. Guess he still takes after his dad after all." Kenichi said with a chuckle.

Naoko nodded, watching their son with a mix of pride and wonder. "My Boy... He's certainly going to be special. A little bit of you, a little bit of me and a little bit of himself. " she said as she once again prevented her child from stumbling.

"There. There." Naoko patted Subaru's back to comfort him, who for some reason was trying to go back to his activities. "No need to hurry Subaru. Take your time to grow up and become a wonderful person."

Chapter 3: Passing Time

"I'm glad you like it, son," Naoko said, pride and joy evident in his voice. "I remember when I was your age, I used to love stargazing. Now I get to pass that love onto you."

Subaru smiled, feeling grateful for this special moment with his father. "Mom Dad. Thank you. This is the best birthday present ever."

As they continued to gaze at the stars, Subaru couldn't help but think about how lucky he was to have parents who loved and supported him. No matter what the future held, he knew that he could always count on them. And he was determined to make the most of this moment, and every moment to come.

"Hey son you try now." Said Kenichi, as he gave Subaru a slightly strong pat.

"Hey!" Subaru's face become tomato red as a result of his father's teasings. "Is this how that blonde drill girl felt when i teased her?" Thought Subaru.

"Subaru... Why are you crying? Did Kenichi hit you too hard" said Naoko, as she gave her husband a deathly gaze.

"Subaru are you alright?" Kenichi ignored his wife's gaze. For now he just wanted to comfort his son.

"Why? Why am I crying? " As Subaru spoke these words in a manner barely audible, an endless stream of tears erupted from his eyes.

Tears streamed down his face as he tried to process the overwhelming emotions that flooded his mind. He had forgotten about the people he had met, the adventures he had gone on, and the battles he had fought. They were just distant memories now, like a dream that he could not fully grasp.

His parents, Naoko and Kenichi, watched him with concern. They noticed the tears and the distant look in his eyes. Naoko reached out and brushed away his tears, "Subaru my boy, what's wrong? Are you okay?"

Subaru sniffled and looked up at his parents, "I... I can't remember. I just...can't." His eyes held the pain and helplessness of a man who had lost everything.

Kenichi put his arm around his son, "Remember what? Did you have a bad dream?"

Subaru, hearing such a thing gave Kenichi a bloodlusted look which made Kenichi take a step back "No! It's not a dream. It will never be a dream."

For a long time Subaru wailed incoherently

He paused as he took a gulp of fresh cold air.

"They.Will.Never.Be.Just.A.Dream!" He said, his tears having stopped pouring out.

His parents exchanged a worried look but didn't push for more information. They just held him close and let him cry it out.

Subaru wiped away his tears and took a deep breath, "I'm okay now. I just had a silly thought."

But even as he tried to put on a brave face, he knew that his memories were slipping away from him. And he feared that one day, he might forget everything completely. Subaru Natuski was a man who had laughed in the face of demons and eldritch witches but this... broke him.

"I feel lightheaded." Thought Subaru as he collapsed into Kenichi's arms.

"Don't worry. He was just tired from all the activites we did today. By the time he wakes up, he would have recovered." Said Kenichi, hoping that his wife would not worry.

"Humm." Naoko nodded. Seeing her baby boy act in such a way scared her. "You are right honey. I just feel that he is looking for something."

Unbeknownst to Subaru who had lost consciousness, his parents put him in the car and drove back home.

".... I ruined it." Subaru was saddened by the fact that he had ruined the quality time he could have spent with his parents.

"I am truly a worthless son." Subaru brought his knees to his chest as curled up in his bed. "Worthless, Worthless, Worthless. Unworthy of their smiles. Their LOVE."

[Requirements Fulfilled]

These were the words Subaru heard, after which a blindingly bright screen of light blue color covered his vision entirely.

For Subaru and his retinas, this was a lot to take in. It was not that he did not knew of what was in front of him but rather the opposite. He knew all too well what was infront of him. But before he could even process the information, he heard a familiar voice calling. On instinct, he thought of making the screen dissappear.

"Is Daddy's kid awake? " Kenichi stopped, confused by the strange flicker of blue light which dissapeared as soon as he saw it. "Hey Subaru! Seems like i would have to change the lights of your room. Why don't you go and help your mother in making something good."

"Ok Dad." Subaru said his face beaming with innocence. "Show that face to your mom and tell her to not cook peas today. You need to eat healthy if you want to go to school. Alright?"

"Understood Father. I will tell mother that you were using me so you would not have to eat peas." Subaru said in a cheeky voice.

"Heh! Looks like you got your sense of humor from me." Kenichi laughed at Subaru's behaviour. "But pretty please don't tell her that. My back can't take anymore beatings."

After having their usual banter, Subaru went to the bathroom instead of going to his mother.

"He definitely saw it. Even if he did not understand what it was. Thankfully he just thought of blue screen as lights going haywire. I need to calm myself down first." Subaru took deep breaths to calm himself.

"Fuu-uuh. It feels much better now. Guess that blonde butler's techniques are still useful regardless of what world i am in. What was his name again? .... Clin...Lind... Clind. Yeah that's it."

"Put your focus back to the topic Subaru!" Subaru gave a slap to both of his cheeks in a way to bring back composure. This resulted in composure, pain and redness to his cheeks.

"I need to be more careful with my body. This isn't a canvas for my self-harm tendencies as my previous body was. Though my urges have been calmed a little."

'At least not yet. Not when i am with my parents.' Remained unsaid.

"I know what these terms mean. They are basic gaming jargon. Still why is my yin magic sealed. This is a completely new body, it ahould have had a fully functioning gate. So why is it that i still have a defecting gate." Subaru paced around in the tiny bathroom.

"If it fails, i am going to cringe really hard." Subaru braced himself for the ultimate cringy act. "[System] What does [Loved] means? "

Silence reigned supreme in the bathroom. Subaru stopped himself from rolling on the dirty floor out of sheer pain his soul endured because of this action. Just as he was about to descend into the spirals of self hatred monologues, he heard a voice.

[Someone Who Is Loved In Any Shape Or Form]

"HELL YEAH!!!" Subaru's voice resounded through the entire house who for obvious could not stop his excitement.

Chapter 4: Natsuki Family's Day To Day Life

Naoko knocked at the bathroom door. "Subaru! Is everything alright?"

Subaru dried his wet hands by shaking them and came out, using his best poker face. "Nothing Mom."

Naoko narrowed her eyes. "Could it be that my adorable son is lying?"

Subaru shook his head vehemently. "No. Mom."

"Ok. Ok. Now come quickly your father has already started eating." Naoko said.

Subaru walked towards the kitchen, remembering he forgot to tell Naoko about not wanting to eat peas. "Wait... I forgot to tell mom about not wanting to eat peas. Dad will not be happy." He thought.

As he entered the kitchen, Kenichi's pleading gaze met him. "Subaru come eat before I finish everything." Kenichi said, faking a stern tone. "You need to eat more peas if you want to grow up healthy."

Subaru chuckled and sat down at the table. Naoko had made his favorite dish, omurice. He looked at Kenichi's plate and saw a small mountain made up of peas.

"Hey Dad!" Subaru called out in a hushed voice.

Kenichi leaned closer. "Humm?"

"Did you make Mom angry?" Subaru asked innocently.

"Well Daddy was being kind of a meanie to you so your mom got a little angry with me. But don't tell her that. I know you are a smart kid and are aware of what will happen right." Kenichi said.

"Dad..." Subaru was not looking at his father but at the one behind him.

"Your mother is behind me, isn't she?" Kenichi said with a straight face, as if he had already accepted his fate.

"Kenichi!" Naoko's stern voice echoed through the house. "Could you tell me what you were telling my cute Subaru."

Kenichi remained silent, not wanting to lie in front of his son.

Subaru understood their gestures, speech patterns, and underlying words. If it was any other child, they might have thought their parents were fighting, but Subaru knew better.

"They look so cute together." he thought, laughing at Kenichi trying to appease Naoko's wrath. "Dammit! I am acting like an old man who just saw a couple having a healthy banter. Wait... Aren't I mentally older than both of them combined?" He decided to act mature and let his dad have a break.

"Why are... Sniff... Mommy and Daddy fighting?" This made both parents worry.

Naoko bent down and patted Subaru on the head. "No worries. Daddy and I were just having a little disagreement." She glared back at Kenichi as she emphasized the word Daddy.

Kenichi could only let out a tiny sigh.

"So is everything okay now?" Subaru still acted like a scared child.

Naoko lifted him and spun in a circle. "Yes. Everything's fine my son." This lightened everyone's mood.

As he spun, Subaru tried to push the memories of his past lives to the back of his mind and determined to make the most of this new opportunity.

"Heh! Now I know why Beako didn't like getting spun. Gonna have to do this once I get back there." He didn't cry this time, knowing despair was not a commodity he could afford. He was determined. One way or another, he will be back here with them. If not then what would be the point of this Rewind.

Subaru ate his omurice, enjoying the warm and comforting flavors. His parents chattered on about their day and Subaru listened, feeling grateful for the normalcy of their conversation.

But as he went to bed that night, his thoughts once again drifted to his past lives and the horrors he had experienced. He closed his eyes, determined to push them aside and focus on the present.

"I will not let this cycle of death and despair continue. I will save my friends and protect my families, no matter what it takes." Subaru whispered to himself before drifting off to sleep.

The next day, Subaru woke up with a new determination. He was going to be the best son and student he could be, all while secretly preparing himself for the inevitable showdown with Pandora.

"I won't give up. I'll keep trying until I succeed." Subaru thought with a determined glint in his eye.

And with that, he set out to live his life with purpose, always keeping one eye on his ultimate goal of defeating Pandora and saving his friends.

But as days passed, the weight of his mission weighed heavily on him. The memories of his past lives haunted him, the image of his friends' gruesome deaths never far from his mind.

Despite this, he pushed on, his resolve only growing stronger with each passing day. He trained his body and honed his skills, always striving to be better, always striving to be ready for the battle to come.

"Ha! If Pandora thinks she can beat me, she's got another thing coming," Subaru said with a snarky smirk.

After the breakfast, Kenichi prepared himself for office.

"Take care honey. You too Subaru. Protect your mother while i am away." Joked Kenichi.

"Sure dad. Mom's knight will protect her from all the evils of the world."

Naoko ruffled Subaru's hair. "Sure you will."

After saying their goodbyes, Kenichi went off to work.

"Ah! I forgot to tell him to buy groceries. Subaru i have to go and by some things from the store. Will you act like a good kid while i am away?"

"Don't worry mom i will keep the house safe."

"... Sometimes i forget that he is just a child." Thought Naoko.

"I will be back in 5 minutes. Don't worry I know that my knight is a dependable son too."

Subaru was alone at home as he watched Naoko grab her keys and leave for the grocery store. He rubbed his hands together, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. This was his chance to use the [System].

"I guess the basement would be a good place to open the [System]. No light or sound will escape to the outside. Though i need to hurry Mom will be returning as quickly as she can."

He hurried to the basement, and stood in the middle. With a mental command, the same blue screen appeared infront of him.

"My name and level are alright. [Loved] must be from that silver haired elf witch. I sure hope not." Subaru was still angry at the one who was responsible for making him suffer.

"Though without her, i wouldn't have been able to experience such a life." This train of thought was enough to make his unknown lover's existence somewhat less unbearable.

"[Job Levels] are self explanatory. What makes me wonder is the [Racial Levels] part. [System] What are [Racial Levels]."

[Racial Levels Refer To The Latent Potential Of The User Or In Other Words A Level Cap.]

"And how do i gain these levels?"

[Currently, User Can Only Gain Levels Through Quests.]

"That explains a lot. I was worried that my level was low even though i had been training like hell. I hope the quests are easy. Show me the Quests i have right now."

[Currently User Has Only 1 Quest]

[Quest: Training]

  1. Run 1 kilometer 0/1
  2. Jump 0/10
  3. Basic Jabs 0/10
Reward: 1 Racial Level in [Human]

Would You Like To Accept The Quest? (Y/N)

"Yes!"

The screen minimized and moved to the top right corner of his eyes.

"That's oddly convinient. I should start from the easiest one." With that, Subaru started hopping like a rabbit. Thankfully his parents weren't there otherwise he would have died of shame.

"Ok now that's done, i should practice jabs. Clind did taught me about how to improve my stance." Subaru straightened his back. "Now spread the feets equal to the distance between shoulder blades, right feet infront of the left. This much shoild be enough right?"

After having perfected his stance as much as he could, Subaru punched the air. No technique or style. Not even strength. "I am so bad at this." Subaru tried to wallow but stopped himself. "No remain focused." He tried 9 times more until he heard the second ping.

"Now running 1 kilometer seems to be the problem. I don't want to burden mom and dad just because of my selfishness. Looks like i will have to run along the basement wall."

After 15 minutes, Subaru laid on the ground panting heavily. "I am spent. This body is really squishy. I will have to work like madman if i want to surpass my limits. On the bright side, the quest is finally completed." Subaru said as looked at the screen.

[Quest Completed]

"Subaru I am home. Help me carry all of the groceries." He heard his mother's. Without thinking, he ran towards the door.

"Welcome back, Mom!" he said with a smile.

"Did you have a good time?" she asked, returning the smile.

"It was great," he replied.

"Well, let's get dinner started then," she said, heading to the kitchen.

"Your knight shall help you cut the vegetables." Subaru followed behind as he pushed the [System] back into the depths of his mind. Becuase for him, his family will always be the first priority.
