On the continent of Gemmon there is a port called Gianthrown. A fairly normal port, it has long been a meeting place for various powers on the continent. The only truly unusual thing is that it is a human city.
The famously insular humans running a nexus for other races might seem strange, but it made Gianthrown a truly neutral meeting place. Neutrality, ease of access, and relative prosperity made for an ever growing metropolis teeming with humanity.
It also meant a large number of Dungeons. As the filters of Reality against the horrors of the Unreal, Dungeons tend to be attracted to places where there are people to clean them out. To deal with that and avoid any Dungeon Ruptures, the local Guild recruited heavily from the population. Like you.

You are-

[] A nobody. One of many faces in the crowd, you are relying on the charity of the Church for your first Class Shard. One of the most generic and least powerful shards leaves you with a lot of options…but very few good ones.

-[] Runner-The generic Agility class, Runners can evade or dodge most attacks. They can't do a ton else, lacking offensive or support options.

-[] Tyro-The basic Strength class, Fighters hit things very hard for their tier. They lack any dodges or esoteric defenses though, meaning that anything that can survive that hit is trouble.

-[] Neophyte-The first of the Intelligence breed, a Neophyte quickly gains access to a respectable pool of cantrips that they can use precisely once before needing to recharge.

-[] Novice-The lowest of Willpower classes, a novice has Telekinetic Push and nothing else. It can be used multiple times per combat.

[] A noble. One of the scions of the city, you are granted access to a better basic class than the commoners. Of course, this comes with certain expectations, both for your growth and for your actions.

-[] Squire-The first of the knight line, a squire gains proficiency in swords, shields, armor, and riding. They can also call on the power of their senior knight's crest for a temporary boost. Strength and Willpower are their main stats.

-[] Mage-The first of the wizards, a mage has access to multitude of tiple related spells, giving them a range of options. They gain a Mana Pool to cast from that allows them to choose what spells to cast giving them some staying power as well. Intelligence and Agility are their primary stats.

[] An Outsider. The city has many that do not originate in it and in fact are not even human. You are to be here for an extensive period, making it more sensible to set yourself up here rather than wait to get home.

-[] Yarsub Scout-A race of tree folk, a Yarsub scout is born in the saddle. They use blazing fast lance charges combined with distanced mounted bow attacks to pick apart weaker foes and escape stronger enemies. Their main stats are Strength and Agility.

-[] Yarsub Dog Hunter-An unusual basic class, the Dog Hunter focuses on controlling and buffing their animals. This monofocus does leave the Hunter themself vulnerable though. The primary stats are Willpower and Intelligence.

-[] Troll Attache-The first in the Diplomacy line of Trolls, the Troll Attache has just begun to realize the power of their sonorous voice. They require Strength, Agility, and Willpower.

-[] Troll Attendant-The most basic of the Guardian branch, Troll attendants rely on speed, strength, and near prescient levels of threat anticipation to keep their charges safe.

can we multi-class later on? the mage class seems like good combo.

Hobestly curious about this quest, and I am a sucker for dubgeon genre.
Honestly am fine with any option atm but this picked my interest.

Besides the post on Saturday / I hope this is not against the Rules
I would like Neophyte
- you get more than one spell
Would be interesting to start with a Bottom class
