I have no idea if this is even possible, but is there a way to temporarily pause alerts from a thread for some period of time, or temporarily put a thread on ignore? Sometimes I need a break from a story, but I know if I unwatch it’ll disappear into the ether forever. It’d be nice to be able to tell a thread to stop bugging me for a month or so, then start giving me alerts again.

You could create a specialized folder of bookmarks containing links to stories you want to keep an eye on.

If you ignore a thread that has updated/notified, you won't get additional notifications from it.

^This, with the caveat that OP posts do still show up in alerts if they’re over a certain word count.

I’m still watching ‘With This Ring’ despite being maybe a hundred or more chapters behind, so I still get alerts regularly from that due to Zoat’s daily updating schedule, but most threads go silent if you ignore* an alert once for quite a while.

*Ignore in the ‘don’t pay attention to it’ sense, not in the functionality sense.
