Spoiler images don't display

For some reason, for a few months now, images don't seem to display within spoilers... I used to sometimes see the url say, on imgur, if I looked at the post while replying, but it was too much of a hassle and it usually doesn't appear, at least the last times I tried, so I thought I might ask if anyone knows anything about this. I'm using an old chrome on a tablet, if that helps.

Imgur has this site blocked off for hosting previews, so only direct links work on that one.

As a fellow user of old machines--this one a potatoPC with windows XP of all things--the pictures only load if you click on the pixel where the cursor turns into a hand with index finger. Otherwise? All pics spoilered don't load in the slightest.

Same with webp format.

It's the OS, and modern internet lack of fucks about it.
