Or people who just know a lot about Mario for some reason.



I'd like your attention.



I have story ideas.



A story for a hypothetical third Mario movie.



I want to make it clear that I'm not doing this because I want to rewrite the movies; I love the movies even with their flaws, and I know that inevitably we'll soon have a third movie. But I liked the idea I had and I want to explore it.



Here's what I have so far:

"A few weeks after Rosalina returns to space, Mario and Luigi (and now Yoshi) continue living their lives as plumbers and helping others part-time.
Then a new enemy emerges, claiming to be after the "star children." Although he fails to acquire any of the children, he manages to create his own child from the red plumber.
Thanks to the things Rosalina saw while living in space, the group discovers that star children are the key to creating super stars and embark on a journey to stop that immense power from falling into the hands of such an enemy."



And the main points I'm going to explore are:

- Setting the scene for the relationship between Peach and Rosalina, also talking about Rosalina's past within the book's story, but with small changes to make sense

- Giving Luigi personal development using almost everything from "Luigi's Mansion"

- Exploring Mario's characterization as a hero who feels like just a plumber while being confronted by everything that says otherwise, including his father (I want to improve their interaction)

- Introducing Daisy and a possible relationship with Luigi, obviously

- Talking more about Bowser's debate between good and evil and how it affects everyone around him

- Introducing Wario as a counterpart created by the new enemy to have the superstar and, coincidentally, confront Mario's insecurity, but feeling diminished and devalued by the one who created him

- Giving logic to the creation of a superstar



For now, that's it, there are more details, but I just want to explain their roles throughout the story for now.



And now comes your part.



I don't know anything about Mario, I know the franchise and some things superficially, but the movies are my only real contact with it.



So I would like your help in the comments, giving ideas for references, world-building and even a suitable villain for a third movie.



I have the writing and narrative completely planned, but I need help with things like which game to use as a basis for adaptation, concepts of the saga and things like that.
