Jen Valtoria, an archmage, calamity-level troublemaker, and professional button-pusher, is feared by gods, demons, and anyone with common sense. Her hobbies include:
• starting fights she definitely shouldn't,
• creating forbidden magic spells,
• and blowing up her tower… again.

But during one of her "crazy" experiment involving, a legendary theory that connected The Cosmos, transcended mana, and possibly the stolen tooth of an offended primordial dragon, everything goes wrong.

Jen survives… mostly.
Her reputation survives… barely.
Her body, however?

She wakes up as a tiny, fluffy stray puppy.

Before she can scream (or bark) in rage, she's scooped up by Yuno, an energetic young man who's just awakened as a Low-Tier Beast Tamer. To him, she's the cutest puppy in the world.

To Jen?
He's the mortal who dares call the mighty Archmage Valtoria… "Puff-Puff."

Now, Jen must deal with:
• being carried around like a plush toy,
• eating dog biscuits,
• sleeping in Yuno's bed like a pet,
• and the terrifying reality that her enemies are still looking for her.

Worst of all?

Yuno's taming skills are so bad that Jen, in puppy form, might actually have to protect him.

This wasn't the path to true godhood she imagined…

But maybe, just maybe, barking her way back to the top won't be so bad.

Boooom!!!

A massive explosive force, capable of leveling mountains by its sound alone, tore through the landscape.

Swoosh..!

From the explosion, a figure blurred out, rasping breath echoing from a heavily injured body still poised to fight. It was a girl with bright whitish-pink hair scattered loosely around her head and deep blue eyes that held nothing but an unreadable rage.

Then, mere seconds later, four other figures blurred out of the explosion, their faces impossible to see, swallowed by a darkness that clung to their forms like living shadows.

"Valtoria," one of the figures spoke in a deep male voice. "To think you still have this kind of firepower." He continued, "No wonder you were able to destroy your tower completely again." He paused for a moment, a faint chuckle escaping his unseen lips. "But did you really think we are after your projects?"

The young girl, still catching her breath, couldn't help but smile calmly. Slowly, her smile widened as she spoke.
"Haaa.. Bastard.. You still call me by my father's name till the end, huh?"

She gave them an amused look right before her legs trembled and she bent forward, vomiting blood.

Seeing her refusal to collapse despite her injuries, the man spoke again. He slowly stretched his right hand forward, as if offering her mercy from a distance.

"Give up, Valtoria," he said. "Let's not cause anymore damages. If you follow us peacefully, I can assure you there will be no more loses… as long as we get what we need from you."

It was the tone of someone offering a choice between life and death while pretending to be kind.

Jen responded with a small scoff of disdain.
"Giving up wasn't on my table the last time I checked."

Another of the figures growled, a furious female voice this time.

"Who do you think you are, acting all high and mighty in that state? Can't you see we're taking pity on you, dimwit?"

Silence followed.
Jen did not answer.

She remained bent, head lowered, hair cascading over her face.

But just then, the earth beneath them began to vibrate.

A faint tremor at first…

Then stronger.

Pebbles and debris began hovering off the ground, slowly rising into the air as if paying respect to a sacred being.

"Pity?" Jen whispered.

The tremors grew violent.

"Pity…?" she muttered again.

Her head lifted slightly.

"Meee?!!!"

DUUUUUM!!

A suffocating bloodlust emanated throughout the area, like a tide given form, it was so thick the very landscape began to deform.

"AHAHAHA!!", A maniacal laughter erupted from the young girl's throat, a laugh that made the four figures stiffen slightly before regaining their stance for yet another battle.

But something happened that made their unseen eyes widen. Faint light began to pulse on Jen's chest. Lines of mana lit up under her skin like ancient runes awakening.

"Valtoria," the male voice whispered, disbelief leaking through his calm tone.
"Don't tell me… you intend to self-destruct?"

The vibrations intensified until the air itself warped.

Jen threw her head back and laughed harder.

"So what if I do? You dare try to treat me like a tool?!"

"But if you self-destruct," the man argued, "this whole place, maybe even this world will end up in ruins as well."

"And what's the big deal…?" Jen replied coldly. "Oh, I see. Trying to act like an angel now, are you?"

He had no answer.

He could only stare at her because he already knew.

It was already too late.

This entire place was going down with her.

"Brace yourselves," the figure with the male voice spoke calmly to the other three figures beside him.

And before he could say anything else, he heard the young girl speak. "All of you…" She raised both hands outward, her grin stretching wider. "Embed this in the deepest part of your hearts."

Her voice, though weak, carried the force of a goddess.

"My name is Jen Valtoria"

A blinding white light swallowed the world.

"And I am the Greatest God-Tier ArchMage humanity can ever conceive!"

Then..

everything exploded.

A blast so massive it rendered even sound speechless.

The God-Tier ArchMage,

Jen Valtoria,

Disappeared In Light.

******

The world was silent. Too silent. Only the pure emptiness of one's soul floating through the void like an afterthought.

Just then, Jen Valtoria blinked awake, her mind foggy, her body strangely… light.

'Did it work?' She thought inwardly. The last thing she remembered was her grand escape by faking her death with a magic spell she created during her battle with the enemies who came to ambush her after her failed experiment, an experiment that cost her two hundred years in seclusion, involving a legendary theory that connected The Cosmos, transcended mana, and the stolen tooth from a primordial dragon.

If it was successful, she would have fully ascended to The Cosmos, but in the end, everything after that was an explosion of colors, screaming magic, and the faint smell of roasted chicken.

'Those patient bastards really almost got me this time,' She groaned.

At least she thought she groaned.

What actually came out was...

"…yip."

Jen froze.

That was not her voice. That was not any archmage's voice. That was the sound of something small. Something pitiful. Something mortal men tossed scraps to on the street.

She tried again.

"YIP...!"

'No. No no no no.'

Her first greatest fear was losing her sanity. Her second greatest fear was being ugly.
Her third?

…Transportation magic going horribly wrong.

She looked down. Her limbs were short. Furry. A tiny tail wagged without her permission.

Her brain screeched.

I AM A DOG?!

A nearby passerby gasped at the adorable squeak she made.

Jen collapsed onto the street she knew nothing about, paws shaking in disbelief. She tried to summon transcended mana, normal mana... nothing. She tried to stand dramatically, fell on her face. She tried to curse the heavens.

"Arf!"

The heavens were not intimidated.

While she reeled in existential horror, a shadow fell over her.

"Whoa! A wild puppy!"

'No!'

'Nononono!!'

She looked up and saw a young man with bright green eyes and the kind of smile found only in people who thought wild beasts were "cute."

He picked her up.

PICKED. HER. UP.

"As of today," he declared proudly, "I, Yuno, a Low-Tier Beast Tamer! And you, little pup, are my very first partner!"

Jen's soul left her body.

She, the God-Tier Archmage Valtoria, feared by gods and nations, was now being cradled like a stuffed toy by a young man who probably couldn't even tame a chicken.

She attempted to protest.

"Yip!"

He hugged her tighter. "You're so tiny! I'll call you… Puff-Puff!"

Jen screamed internally for a full minute.

Somewhere, in the great cosmic void, the gods wheezed in laughter.

And that was how the most feared archmage in the world found herself wrapped in a blanket, carried home by an overexcited beginner tamer…

while her enemies regretted the loss of a valuable asset.

If only they knew the truth.

The Archmage wasn't dead.

She was just… fluffy.

****

The warmth of Yuno's chest and the steady rhythm of his walking were a cruel mockery of Jen's despair. Cradled against him, swaddled in a blanket that smelled of cheap soap and sunshine, she felt hot, humiliating tears well in her eyes. She, Jen Valtoria, the greatest God-Tier ArchMage humanity could ever conceive, had been reduced to a state of such powerlessness that her own body betrayed her with the urge to cry. She squeezed her puppy eyes shut, forcing the moisture back. 'I will not', She commanded herself. 'I will not shed tears over this.'

Above her, Yuno's world was nothing but bright. A wide, unshakable smile stretched his lips as he navigated the bustling morning streets. His green eyes, the color of new leaves, crinkled at the corners as he called out to a burly man heaving a metal grate open. "Good morning, Sir Carlos!"

The man, Sir Carlos, straightened up with a soft grunt, his broad face breaking into a friendly grin. "Good morning, Yuno, boy! You seem… extra happy today. Did you find a gold coin on the path?" He chuckled, wiping his hands on his worn apron.

Yuno's hold on Jen tightened slightly with his excitement, making her squirm. "Something even better, sir! Today was the first day after a week since my awakening that I successfully tamed an animal! Right in the place you told me I could find the [Level 1] wild pups!"

Sir Carlos's eyebrows shot up, his gaze dropping to the fluffy white bundle in Yuno's arms. "Is that so? Well, congratulations, boy! That's really something to be happy about." He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "The first one is always special. Treat her well."

"I will, sir! I promise!" Yuno beamed.

"Well, let me not delay you further," Carlos said, shooing him along with a wave of his thick hand. "I'm sure you have work to do at the guild."

Yuno nodded enthusiastically. "Alright, Sir Carlos! See you later!" He adjusted his grip on Jen and continued his journey, his steps lighter than before.

Jen, however, had stopped breathing.

She was dying inside.

Her left eye twitched violently.

'I've successfully tamed an animal.'

The words echoed again...

And again...

And again..!

'An… animal?' Jen repeated internally, her fury sparking like a sun igniting. Her tiny puppy body trembled, not from fear, but from an anger so vast that entire nations had once trembled under its weight. 'Animal? I, a transcendent being who have held the fabric of spacetime in my hands! I am not an ANIMAL!' Her fluffy body went rigid, her tiny claws unsheathing and pricking through the blanket. A low, almost imperceptible growl vibrated in her throat.

Yuno noticed the sudden movement, but interpreted it completely wrong. Instead of recognizing it as pure rage capable of vaporizing the world, he gently rubbed his palm over her back, his fingers sinking into her soft fur.

"There, there…" Yuno whispered, completely oblivious to the storm brewing in her soul. "Don't worry, Puff-Puff. You're in safe hands. I'll take really good care of you as my very first tame."

He smiled softly down at her.

Jen's heart shattered.

He thought she was crying.

He thought she was emotional.

He thought she needed comfort.

The kindness was worse than any torture. It was a soothing balm poured onto a rage that deserved only fuel. Jen's mind, a fortress of arcane knowledge and towering arrogance, could formulate only one coherent thought, a curse aimed at the very heavens that had allowed this travesty.

"Arf!"

The heavens, as usual, held no reply.

Jen let out a long, shuddering sigh that made her entire tiny body deflate. Inhaling deeply, she caught the scent of baking bread from a nearby stall and the underlying smell of dust and packed earth. The sensory overload was a temporary distraction. If she could not change her circumstances this very second, she would at least understand them. She forced her racing thoughts to still, pushing the blinding anger to a simmering corner of her mind.

She began to observe, her blue puppy eyes scanning her surroundings. The architecture of the buildings was unfamiliar. The style of the people's clothing was simple, rustic, but strangely foreign. She had traveled extensively in the past, seeking out the strong and the proud in every nation she could find. Her passion, after all, had never been mere exploration.

A grim, internal smile touched her spirit as she let the memory surface, a welcome distraction from her current plight. Her passion had been for the thrill of the fight, the glorious, destructive dance of power. She would arrive in a new nation, seek out its most powerful guild, its most revered champions, and then, with a smile and a casually thrown insult, she would give them a reason to fight her seriously. A demolished guild hall here, a crumbled fortress wall there… it was all just a means to an end. A way to force the strongest to reveal their true might against her. She had left a trail of glorious wreckage and infuriated legends in her wake, all in pursuit of the next, greater challenge.

Even then…

Her chaos extended far, far beyond that.

And now, that same spirit was trapped in a body that could not even protest without sounding cute. The irony was so thick she could almost taste it, and it tasted disturbingly like the dog biscuit she feared was in her imminent future.

Anyways, that aside, Jen still couldn't place where she was. She thought about the rustic nature of this country. Her head, perched on the blanket, began to feel impossibly heavy. Her eyelids, scratchy and dry, drooped. The vibrant sounds of the market, the clatter, the chatter.. faded into a distant, muffled hum.

'Maybe there aren't any world-renowned strongest here... that's why it's so... peaceful...' The thought was sluggish, wading through mental molasses.

Then, her entire tiny body jolted. A spike of pure, instinctual panic shot through her. 'What!' her mind screamed, a silent echo in the vault of her consciousness. Outwardly, it was a muffled, sleepy "Arf!" that was more squeak than bark.

Yuno looked down, his green eyes softening. He gave her back another of those infuriatingly gentle strokes. "Shhh, don't worry, Puff-Puff," he cooed, his voice a low vibration against her. "We're almost home."

'This bastard!' Jen seethed, the internal shout momentarily burning away the fog of sleep. 'Who does he think he is, reassuring me? I, Jen Valtoria, the architect of cataclysms, do not need to be soothed like a frightened infant by a mortal who probably thinks a fireball is a type of spicy meatball!'

But even her rage was a finite resource in this feeble body. As she mentally ranted, the heavy, woolly blanket of exhaustion pulled itself back over her mind. Her head nodded forward before she jerked it back up, puppy eyes wide with a fresh wave of indignation.

'Why the hell am I feeling sleepy?' The question formed clearly amidst the gathering fog. 'Is this... is this what it's like? Are animals always this profoundly, pathetically weak?'

It was a horrifying revelation. Her will was a fortress of adamantine, but the body it was trapped in was a crumbling hut of flesh and fluff. She tried to fight the approaching darkness with everything she had. She imagined punching the moon, vaporizing a dragon, and even throwing Yuno into the sun for calling her Puff Puff.

She tried anything to anchor herself to wakefulness. She was a God-Tier Mage, and she would not be defeated by something as mundane as a nap.

Yet… none of it worked.

Her small body leaned sideways… then forward… then curled slightly as warmth wrapped around her.

And she finally lost the battle.

Jen Valtoria, destroyer of armies and nightmare of gods… fell asleep in a stranger's arms.

Oblivious to the epic war against sleep that had just been lost in his arms, Yuno continued his journey. He turned from the main street onto a quieter, narrower lane where the houses were small but well-kept, with tiny gardens struggling against the packed earth. His boots scuffed softly on the dirt path. He finally stopped before a modest, single-story house with a neatly thatched roof, bordered by a small wooden white fence.

He nudged the gate open with his hip, its hinge letting out a familiar, low groan. He walked up the short path and fished out a key from his pocket, unlocking it.

The warm interior welcomed him immediately.

He stepped inside, closing the door behind him with a gentle click, and made his way through the living room, passing a small table, a set of chairs, and a shelf lined with dull stones he had collected from dungeon shifts.

Finally, he reached his room and pushed the door open.

The space was simple but neat, wooden floors, a tidy bed pushed against the wall, a desk with parchment and ink bottles scattered across it.

And beside his own bed…

…sat a small, brand-new pet bed.

Soft. Round. Light brown. Fluffy enough to swallow a pup whole.

Yuno smiled proudly. He had bought it days ago, full of a hopeful beginner's optimism, just in case he managed to succeed in taming one of the [Level 1] wild pups.

He knelt down, his movements careful and deliberate so as not to wake the sleeping puppy. With infinite care, he unwrapped the blanket and placed the fluffy white form into the center of the little bed. Jen, lost to the world, didn't even stir. Her sides rose and fell in the steady, deep rhythm of utter exhaustion.

Yuno watched her for a moment, a fond smile touching his lips. Then, with a quiet sigh, he got up and began to change. He pulled on his dungeon miner gear, sturdy boots, a worn jacket, protective gloves, moving with quick, practiced motions. He tied his hair back, grabbed his utility bag, and took one last glance at the peacefully sleeping puff of fur.

"See you later, my little cutie," he said with a bright grin before slipping out of the room.

With that, he turned and left, closing the bedroom door softly behind him. The sound of the front door closing and the click of the lock echoed faintly through the silent house.

And there, in the small bed beside a mortal's, lay Jen Valtoria, the most dangerous archmage in the world. Now just Puff-Puff, a helplessly sleeping pup in her new home. A soft, contented "Yip" escaped her as she dreamed, not of humiliation or furry prisons, but of a sky raining fire and the world's strongest being vanquished by a single, effortless wave of her hand.
