Two men sit in a cell, left alone from normally prying eyes. When they had gotten here ages ago the others in the surrounding cells were interested, they didn't care too much anymore for a few weeks, and as those weeks turned into months, the duo found themselves alone together like how it was when they first met.

The duo had been allies, friends, and two sides of the same coin for ages now. They rarely held a secret from each other, that was the level of trust they held. One stood near the front of their cell, waiting, plotting. The other sat on the ground against the wall waiting for something. "Mason, I think we can get out of here, there is a way for us to be free again." the one near the front says in what appears to be in a Russian accent.

"And how would you say we do that Reznov, The damn thing isn't any kind of barrier we can understand!" Mason returns from the back in an American accent. The American wasn't wrong, the entrance to their cell was blocked unconventionally, a gate of what appears to be electricity but solid, it didn't matter to them what it was though since they wouldn't know what it was or understand how it worked.

Reznov, the Russian, smirks at this. "Mason," he starts, "Do you not remember Vorkuta?" Mason's eyes widened a smidgen at the mention of the prison they had both met in. Vorkuta was a USSR Prison for which held a great many veterans of the Second World War. Mason had been captured and brought here and it had been where the friendship between the two blossomed, and where it was smothered. Reznov had sacrificed himself to save Mason, to get him to freedom at the cost of his own.

"It will be hard to get everyone in on the idea," Mason ponders, "but it could work out in the end," he admits. With that simple statement, they put their plan into action. It would take a great deal of time before they would be able to start, but when they did, they would be free, and this time... This time, Reznov would be free with him, or without him.

Mason and Reznov did not know where they were. They did not know how it was that they got here, or what was going on. Last they remembered, they had been about to hunt for Nova 6, a deadly chemical agent. They had gotten to where it was stored and being prepared, but in the end, it didn't matter since it had been stolen from their world and thrown somewhere else. They somehow understood the strange and terrifying creatures they found themselves introduced to.

They were arrested for illegally gaining entrance to another planet, but that couldn't be right. They were only used to their home, Earth, there was no way for them to leave the planet, hell for them it wasn't even an idea as far as they knew at the time. So how was it that they found themselves on this planet that seemed to be so far from their own.

They wanted answers and they were going to get them, they would be willing to risk everything to get back at the bastard who did this to them. They would have their revenge one way or another and there was nothing anybody could do to stop them.

It had taken a year of careful planning. They were being far more careful here than they would have been for any other prison they would have been in most likely. Upon the day of reckoning their great escape would begin with a fight. And begin it did, Reznov and Mason fought again as they had so many years ago, they trusted that nothing would happen to the other and they trusted that they would be able to take on anything they fought.

The fight took place in an open area of the prison, it was one of the times their group of prisoners would be allowed out to work in the mines that they were forced to slave in, they had collared the duo as if they were dogs, these collars would discharge a fatal shock should the one they are attached to attempt to free themselves and escape even with this however there is a way out. But they will soon show them that they were not dogs, but vicious wolves with the intent to tear their throats from their necks.

It had taken a while for the two to get used to the hard labor that they were doing. They had no idea what it was they were gathering, but in the end, it didn't matter. The fight had begun and it was brutal, at least to those who weren't used to what they had seen and done.

When the guard, some giant reptilian creature, arrived they charged Mason and began to beat them mercilessly with their weapon. A short baton of sorts that had an electric charge coming from it. Every hit hurt him more and more until it was impossible for him to stand. Reznov makes quick work of them by knocking the guard off Mason and proceeding to break the skull of the creature by applying one of the mining tools laying nearby repeatedly to their head.

Mason, still injured from the fight struggles to move. Reznov comes over with a worried look on their face. "Mason, it is time. Stand up my friend," he orders. Mason's wheezing is all that responds to him. "I said, STAND UP MASON!" Reznov shouts, Mason coughs and struggles to move. In a gentle voice, Reznov asks a simple question. "Remember Mason, Vorkuta, do you remember the first step to freedom?" With a roar of pain, Mason makes his way to stand up. Panting as he responds.

"Step… One… Secure the… Keys…" he gasps out, struggling to move, striving to stand. He about topples over when Reznov asks him another question. "WHAT. IS. STEP. TWO. MASON!" Reznov shouts. Mason recovers using something nearby to stabilize himself, he cannot see what it is, but he does know he must move. With a roar Mason replies. "Step Two..." He pauses to catch his breath before shouting again. "Ascend from Darkness." with this cry everything explodes into motion and the plan truly kicks into motion. Removing the collars and attacking the guards. Reznov chuckles at the yell and returns the yell with a roar of his own. "ONWARDS MASON, TO FREEDOM." Reznov laughs from his belly as they join the fight together.

It was a slaughter, just like the plan from so long ago. Reznovs words echo through his mind, it seems so similar that it feels as if he is reliving that memory long past. As the two moved through the prison hold them, they freed everyone they could and armed them to fight against their oppressors. It was a nightmare for both sides as the dead littered the ground. While the guards were far more entrenched and trained, the prisoners outnumbered them and were fighting with a single sentence on their minds. They would be free or die trying.

The possessed bodies of the prisoners seeking freedom with their last breath pushed further and further until they had finally made it to their final goal. Ships, ones that would allow them to escape. Many would be left behind but everyone was determined not to be one of the ones left to die. Pilots from the prisoners, or at least those who knew how to operate the ships raced to the cockpits and prepared to take off. Those who couldn't fly the ships hung onto whatever surface they could, piling in to fill the ships with as many as they could.

Several ships were shot down or destroyed in their attempts to fly away, but through sheer luck, the ship Mason and Reznov were on wasn't hit. They had escaped the prison along with a few other ships. Although it was a dangerous time to celebrate being within the same system that they just escaped from. The two wobble as the ship moves. And the oppressive atmosphere is replaced with one of celebration and joy. Though there was a little sorrow for those who had been lost, friends and families dead and destroyed. But they were free at last from the monsters who imprisoned them.

Reznov and Mason tired from their fighting were happy to at last be free from this mess. Mason leaves Reznov behind in the ship to go meet with the pilots operating the ship they were on. Two figures. One of the pilots had damaged long fin-like ears, somewhat lanky arms that ended in four-fingered hands, and their face was sleek, even though it seemed they had a tough yet flexible bill. It was a strange creature for sure. The other pilot had three eyes and a goat-like snout and from a basic look at them, they had a leathery skin with spots all over.

"I assume you two are the ones getting us out of here?" Mason asks. The one with fin-like ears looks over and replies, "Mesa going home after this. No offense but can't wait to see my Family." The other pilot says something Mason doesn't catch, but the one creature talking to Mason does. "Mesa not stupid, Yous stupid you Gran." The so-called Gran snorts at this.

Mason notices that they didn't really answer the question, which makes a small knot in his stomach at what it could mean. Hoping that there was a plan for them all to go. "Where are we headed exactly?" he asks with a certain edge in his voice. Gran says something and the other laughs. "Hesa says he's going ta Raxus. Mesa say we head to Naboo!" Maybe he should have gone onto a different escape craft. Sighing realizing the mistake he's made he convinces them to actually agree on a choice to at least unload everyone else before heading their own separate ways.

The planet they seemed to be headed to seemed to a place called:

[ ] Raxus
[ ] Naboo
[ ] Write-In
