It was a half year before the split, British Lieutenant-General Sir Gordon MacMillan received orders to enforce the borders & prevent a war breaking out from the two sides, the order explained they would stay until 1951, to insure a smooth transition.

This an old thread on discussion, that i decided to turn into a quest, the first two posts were already voted on.

In response, the Arab leaders announced the three No's, vowing that even if they couldn't get the rest of Palestine back for now, they will not accept the foreign Zionist invaders, Arab Jews protested the decision until 1952, but the leaders & public simply ignored them.

Israeli protested the the decision of giving old military gear to the Palestinian army, that will be trained by the British Army, and accused them of still holding a grudge over the King David hotel bombing & other such incidents done by Zionists militia.

Egypt closed the The Suez Canal in the face of British ships, while giving the Soviet Union discounts & priority.

Syria announced a military alliance with Turkey, that includes mutual defense pact, and training by the Turkish military.

Iraq & Jordan sign free trade & travel agreement, alongside a free troop movement, with Iraq as the senior & investing more in infrastructure projects.

Lebanon move a large amount of troops into the border, vowing a swift retribution against the invading Zionist entity, calling them nothing more than a continuation of the French & British occupation, a statement that is agreed with from the surrounding countries.

Jordan started to invest much more heavily in defense, obsessively so, much to the approval of the Jordanian people, who are furious about the grave injustice dealt to their Palestinian brothers, and the absurd demand to accept those western invaders & agents.

Israel called the hostility towards them, a racist attack(of course) & one that ignore history, and they will not accept this.

# What will happen next?

- an immediate war after the British Army leave.

- A period of preparation before any military action began.

- A conference where the Soviet Union & the British try to meditate between the nations .

The Moscow conference New
Due to pressure from the Soviet Union, the main(only) weapons supplier of the Arab coalition, they agreed to "try" negotiations first.

So, the Moscow conference of 1953 began.

Although the British protested the location of the conference, the Soviets were quick to point out, that as the one who caused the disagreement, when they promised the land to different groups, they have no grounds to ask for a more neutral spot.

The Syrian president Adib Shishakli, sent his harshest ambassador hardliner Rauf Al skari, as head of a small five men envoy, as unsubtle political rebuke for wasting the coalition time, in negotiating with a foreign invader, who are nothing more than a twisted mirror of the foreign Christian Crusades.

Meanwhile, Egypt decided to take a neutral response, sending sliver tongued Ali Adnan ,as a the lead of a 30 men & woman envoy, seeing no need to provoke any irritation or hostility from the Soviets, especially with such pointless conference, that's only held so that the Bear earn political clout, and appearing as peace makers & less war mongers than the Americans.

Jordan sent a military squad as a sharp message of what they think of the so called peace conference, and subtly to ask for military advisors, to diversify from British Army training, with Soviet approval before hand, and so they appear uncapable of diplomacy, in order for their enemies to think of them as straight forward brutes, who only knows how to use force, maybe not even that.

Lebanon shocked everyone by simply sending only a one man with a letter, reiterating the three No's, and flatly refusing to even entertain the thought of negotiating with their brothers & sisters butchers, which promptly left after delivering the message.

Iraq didn't even pretended that they care about the negotiation, only sending one experienced diplomat, Ahmad Nasan, the rest of his 50 men & woman team consisting of economic experts who wish to learn from the Soviets, what to do( the successful projects & economic laws & theories), what not to do( the failed policies and regulations that caused strife in a nation economy), to the amusement of the Union, and the irritation of the Brits, who had another arab country all but ignore the conference.

In accordance with the Israeli policy of appearing that they care about borders & agreements, not only waiting for a chance to achieve greater Israel project, step by step, they sent an elite diplomatic team, the best of the best.

The Soviets only see this as a formality, a necessity one perhaps, but a formality nonetheless, after all they know first hand that the coalition won't accept Israel, it's not popular to do so, and there is no reason to accept the British (and to a lesser extent the French) leash around their throats, the Union has no intention to force the coalition hands, it's much more convenient to have the Arabs to be forced to rely on them, through democracy of all things!, of course the KGB will have to protect them from coup attempts, but it is more than worth it, for the logistic & future economic benefits.

The British are the only ones who entered those negotiations with expectations of something coming out of them, but alas no one wants them or care for them to succeed.

What happens next?

- an immediate war after the negotiations end.

- the British somehow delay war for more years .

- more preparations then going to war.

The War of 1954 New
The British tried to delay the war once more, but Lebanon & Jordan declined to entertain the thought, let alone attend another "pointless distraction, that only benefited the enemy ".

Seeing that, Syria began the final preparations for the war, and along their neighbors, launched the September war of 1954, due to the Golan Heights strategic location, and years of training under the Turkish armed forces, Syria successfully gained footholds in multiple locations, after a month of hectic battles, that ended in decisive victories.

Egypt fared much worse, only barely holding on to their lands, but crucially tying up desperately needed forces to the Israeli-Egyptian front, something that will be disregarded by the general public in most muslim countries, including large swaths of Egypt citizens, leading to some festering bitterness in Egyptian politicians.

The Jordanian front went back & forth, but settled at pre war borders, until the Syrian army breakthroughs, Jordan army help it's Syrian counterpart to encircle a large number of Israel army, marking the war as decisive coalition(Arabic) victory.

In Lebanon the Israeli breakthrough, that should have knocked the country out of the war, backfired horribly when the forest, and i quote, "started speaking Lebanese!", South Lebanon was devastated, but the enemy paid heavily by blood, historians would declare it as the bloodiest front of the war, and marvel at Lebanon determination.

The Iraqi army simply gave reinforcement when it's needed, defended conquered territory, and provided crucial air support, being heavily credited to Jordan & Egypt not losing a single meter of land.

The Palestinian army proved to be a larger success than hoped for, and was able to defend its land masterfully, making the Israelis even hesitate to fight it, although they weren't able to push through.

The Israeli army plan to knock out Lebanon & Palestine, and invest 50% of their air force in that endeavor, proved to be their undoing, with the Iraqi air force & bare bones mix of the Jordanian, Syrian, Egyptian in defense, the majority of them, sans Iraq, made quick work of the Israeli one, gaining air superiority, and more importantly victory.

By the End of the war, Israel held on to 40% of the mandate, only due to French & British pressure to end the war earlier than wanted, the war that lasted two months had ended, and Israel lost a lot of legitimacy by losing Jerusalem, the land conquered from Israel, was handed to Palestine.

The British & French called for a peace conference, with France hinting that any grievance held by the coalition should be settled now, that the distribution of the land becomes much fairer to the population count, and that their is no more need for war.

What happens next?

-The peace conference is successful, and their is a cold peace.

-The peace conference is partly successful and their is a ceasefire, a permanent one perhaps.

-The conference fails, and war resumes after a month.

-The countries refuse to attend the conference, sans Israel.
