Ah, foreshadowing. Puchuu's off doing who knows what, a fellow magical girl keeps making excuses whenever you try to meet, and the only other magical girl you know has a... not so great... relationship with the first one, preventing her from finding out what's going on either.
I confess, odds are a big boss monster - or perhaps Horror - is setting up to attack or pull off their plan seems high.
Interesting that Puchuu was the origin of that sword on the beach, though; I always got the impression it'd just been nearby when it happened and graciously took the chance to nab a new girl.

"It kept screaming. All the time. Damn near made me piss myself the first time I heard it."
"Huh. How'd you beat it?"
"I'm... not sure?" Isabella frowned. "Blow girl did something with this weird necklace and it disappeared."
More likely the necklace is a Power Artifact that let her do something from the Spirit spec, if that is what she did.Hm, mysterious. Could be something the Wind girl did to set it off? Regarding the disappearing people, sounds to me like an Overcity entrance, probably to someplace magical enough muggles get amnesia of their time there when they manage to stumble back out.
