I felt a thread dedicated to the themes might be best to consolidate all the different bugs, at least if/when there's a Support Forum, and I suppose a proper format wouldn't hurt.

Theme: Vertex

Browser: Chrome

Extentions: AdBlockPlus, HTTPS Everywhere, Ghostery, Stylish, LastPass, Screen Capture & Tampermonkey (None of which cause this particular problem as I've tested it without any of them on.)

Bug/Error: The dropdown menus for Profile, My Messages and Members are borked it seems. They only dropdown when you double click the arrow and when they do they stay open until you refresh or go to another page.

Additional Information: Here is a screenshot of what I mean.

The Vertex theme is there because a lighter theme was requested. I'm working on a lighter version of the default theme, at which point the Vertex theme will be disabled again.

The reason is, as you see, the Vertex theme has bugs of it's own and doesn't fully support some of the modifications I've made to the code.

Theme: Pulse

Browser: Opera Mobile

Issue: I spend a good deal of time out of home and hence surfing the 'net off my phone... But this forum is peculiarly laggy for me. Not the internet speed, but stuff like scrolling the page. I can have 10-15 SB.com tabs open, for example, and they're perfectly smooth. But this forum? The tab it's on is jerky as hell. Any idea what could be causing this?

EDIT: Interesting. It appears the problem was the dark theme, switching away from that fixed the issue. How peculiar. Any idea what, specifically, was causing that, and how I might fix it? I have a sinking feeling it might be the recent topics box, but I'm not sure. I do prefer the dark theme, but the lag on my phone is unacceptable.

The only real difference between Pulse and Vertex is that Vertex has dynamic scaling, Pulse is set to 1024px width.

Hmmm. So it's nothing I can fix on my end, I guess. Oh well.

I don't suppose it's possible to have pulse, or the upcoming theme, with dynamic scaling?

Possibly.

However, it will make the banner area with the logo and the Recent Topics box go all wonky when you use ctrl+mousewheel to resize your screen.

Oh, well. Either way, I suppose I'd put in a humble request to have at least one theme without the fixed scaling, that I might use check this website from my phone.

I'll enable dynamic scaling on the new theme, and try to figure out a way to keep it from borking the logo area.

changing your theme also removes the recent posts box at the top if the page.

not sure if thats intentional or not.

The recent posts box is built into the Pulse theme, it's not part of the original forum software.

A new theme has been enabled, and is integrated with mods, go have a look if it suits your needs.

The Blue Bird theme is okay imo. The lines in the post profile are a little annoying but otherwise it's fine.

I was asked for a way for each post to stand out from the next.

No, those are fine.

I have added the recent posts tracker from the dark Pulse theme to the white Bluebird theme.

Check it out.

You can change your theme by going to Profile>Forum Profile from the dropdown>Modify Profile>Layout and Look from the dropdown, then choose a new theme.

You might wanna get rid of the Link 1-5 bar at the top for BlueBird.

That will has things in it when I can think of things to put in it.

Fair enough... but it's space being eaten up by stuff you don't have at this point.

Also, you might want to move the box with name and unread/recent stuff to the right.

That's the problem with dynamic resizing. :/

ctrl+mousewheel down will fix it for you, unless you don't use Firefox.

Dude... shrinking down everything... not the answer.

Was more, move the box to the left just under the forum tag, which would put the recent/new post box flush to it.

And bam.

Hey, just dropping by to note that the new theme works perfectly on my phone; thanks for that.
