• The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

A requested feature has been added to the forum, Threadmark categories.

There are four categories, in the following display order

  • Moderation - for modposts and notices, only mods and admins have access to it.
  • Index - for things as charsheets, info, and such.
  • Threadmarks - for the story/quest posts.
  • Extras - for omakes and things.
Thanks be to alethiophile for his techy magnanimity.

Hmm. This is numbered differently than it is on SV or SB. For those sites, the primary threadmark category is #1. That is, for SV and SB, the primary threadmark category would be found at the URL /threadmarks?category_id=1, whereas here on QQ, it's /threadmarks?category_id=4.

I can special-case it, but at the moment this means that NetTally can't find the threadmarks properly.

Would you consider revising that, or should I modify NetTally? It's somewhat troublesome to consider the need to special-case every single website that uses the new threadmarks.

It was changed fairly recently to make threadmarks the default again, so it should be id=1.

Do I need to wait for an update cycle for that to refresh?

Current examples:
ID 0 (works): https://forum.questionablequesting....st-sailor-moon.6188/threadmarks?category_id=0
ID 1 (error): https://forum.questionablequesting....st-sailor-moon.6188/threadmarks?category_id=1
ID 4 (link in thread): https://forum.questionablequesting....st-sailor-moon.6188/threadmarks?category_id=4

You realize the one giving an error has no threadmarks in the default category, right? The thread OP has them all in Index and Extras.

Annnd, my goof. I need to find a thread to go test this in.

If you haven't found a thread to test this stuff in, both of my currently active threads have 'threadmarks' and 'index' er, threadmarks. And also seem to be tallying fine. Check my signature for the active threads, which are labeled as ACTIVE, of course.
