Here's someone who played much further who has more to say.

So, started playing Prosperous Universe recently, basically "Spreadsheets the Game", where you run an interplanetaryIinterstellar company and compete/cooperate with other players for profit, and started as a Victualler, growing crops to turn into nutrient bricks and selling them on the open market of the Exchange.

And, which I found funny, apparently the players of Benten managed to completely outstrip the water supply of their entire planet. A Planet has a given supply of water, which is technically infinite, as in it doesn't run out, but it can only sate so much demand at a time. And the players not only managed to get their total demand over that supply, which is rather hard to do by and of itself, but managed to do so in such a massive quantity that the only way to get any water on that planet is through off-world suppliers.

To illustrate:
The Supply of Water Benten has is 657.
The Demand is currently hovering around 4500.

Not that that changes all that for me, I am content just making Basic Rations on Phobos, self-sufficient in my water needs, but things are quite interesting so far.

Assuming you can ship that liquid gold over to Benten, since you have to pay for the ships, their upkeep, as well as their FTL and STL fuels. And doing long-distance trading can get very costly.

Makes me wonder if the game will ever get a way to play as a Logistics company, just sending ships to and fro, buying goods and selling them somewhere else at a higher markup. I mean, you can kinda already do that, since you start with two transport ships, but at this time it isn't really worth it living off of that alone.

So finally took the plunge and started playing my first mmo final fantasy 14! Got the free trail on windows but I wanted to ask two things
1. Is it possible to transfer my charater onto another data center? I ask cause I did some research on the various data centers and the one I chose pretty much at random and the cool name (Excalibur) is the hardcore raiding hangout when I was hoping for something fairly causal make friends type thing but I don't want to abandon my first charater after putting a couple days of work into him.
2. Say I upgrade to the full paid version of the game, can I do so on steam while still keeping my stuff from the windows free version? I understand I'll have to buy from steam any and all the expansions from then on but again I don't want to spend a bunch of time rebuilding my stuff from before.

1: Yes, though it'll cost you real dosh I believe. Never actually done it myself. I think there's some discount for moving to a preferred server or something of the sort however.

2: If you started your trial through Steam you can keep your account on upgrade, if you started otherwise and want to upgrade via Steam you'll need to spin up a new account, no cross-service upgrades of that fashion. I can't remember the stated reason for that at the moment.

not that big a deal, although I tried to do the trial through steam but it keeps asking for a resignation key and not letting me start the game. so I said fuck it and just went with the windows version instead.

Only if your character has them at the time of the swap. I'd say it wouldn't be worth it to move the character if you haven't gotten too far in or haven't bought character-specific Mog Station items though, just save your appearance data and start fresh if you really want to be on a different server/data center. Again, preferred servers might change this, it's really not something I've looked in to. Checking the service out on Mog Station should get you some more information on the process.

Even on the Savage raid hangout servers you should still see plenty of players, casual or savage, slackin' about and willing to help out though. Stick around and see if you like the server/data center's particular community. If you still want to move, you'll have more progress to bring along, if nothing else

Transferring your character is a complete transfer, and it does cost actual money.
So everything your character has: gear, inventory, mounts, etc goes with it.

Excalibur is a full server so you won't be able to transfer into it until people leave.

So far I'm really enjoying Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. I might even buy the actual game rather than pirating it. My thoughts:

I'm currently at the start of Act 3.

->The character creation is great as it has a lot of options. Personally, I've been playing as a pure Monk myself and it's fun watching things explode when you punch them. I have switched to a Fighter wielding a Glaive though just for a change of pace.

->The Companions are pretty good. I'd say that I generally like them better than the ones from Kingmaker and I think they're built better too. A lot of Divine Casters though and only like one or two Arcane Caster. I used a Respec Mod myself to change the Scroll Wizard Companion into a Sage Sorcerer. I figure it still fits their backstory well enough and it's more useful for my group.

->Oh, speaking of scroll they fucking flood you with them. Which I guess it good but it's such a hassle going through them that I've mostly been ignoring them.

->The alignment system is a bit weird. They've separated good, evil, order, and chaos into their own options along with a neutral one which is nice. But, it works like a circle rather that a cartesian plane. It doesn't usually matter too much at least unless you're trying to play say a Paladin or a Monk. Then you need a bit more careful as you could inadvertently drag yourself out of alignment. It can lead to schizophrenic results.

->Crusade management is trash. I've set it to auto-resolve then just savescum till I win. I'm trying to use a mod to auto-win battles but haven't got it working yet.

->With their damage reduction and spell resistance Demons can be a bitch to fight especially early on. It's really bad for magic users. You're pretty much required to stick to buffing and CC. It does ease up when you get your Mythic stuff since there's an option to ignore elemental resistance for your chosen element and Mythic Spell Penetration.

->Turn Based combat and Real Time combat pair together really well. Use RT for the trash battles to just mulch through enemies then switch to TB for the difficult fights to gain greater control.

Yeah, directly after Psychonauts 1. I watched it- not sure I'd call it worth full price, but it was a good addition to the story. Gameplay was pretty lame, though.

Haven't bought 2 yet. Partly because lazy.


Aside: Why do I always try to play Infinifactory when sleep-deprived? I know how much it twists my brain when I'm wide awake, why would I try it while my brain is already a bit off?

I admit, my main interest was with the Triangle Strategy bit... And hot damn, it seems a route can manage to absolutely alienate your fiancee in the game.

I really, really hope they handle the branching story points well. That will be amazing for the game's story if they can produce varied outcomes.

Seriously, one of the games I picked up in the golden age of emulation and I fucking loved it. Haven't actually bought it yet, but it's definitely going on the wishlist. May be tempted before the day is out.

TL;DR: You play as (a?) God. It has sidescrolling levels, followed by town-building controlling the angel (and new RTS bits) with more story than the original- and the original had me a little teary here and there. Followed by a second side-scrolling level. Your Level is based on the population of all the towns you save and rebuild- I just hope the stupid sprite limit isn't a thing this time, worst thing about the original.

...It's also an interesting vessel for isekai stories, now that I'm looking at it.

Imma be honest, though this sounds unkind, the side scrolling parts of that trailer reminded me of hgame side scrollers more so then anything else which isn't exactly the most flattering of comparisons...

Angel looks cute though.
