I was reading a novel on Webnovel, when suddenly it refused to keep loading, I tried opening it up from the content tag on the novel, now it said it was down. I tried checking notifications, when I clicked on it, it said the information there too was gone. I tried creating new windows of the chapters, it came out showing some chinese with a "!" at the end.

I tried checking for the novel elsewhere, but sadly the novel was only up on webnovel, and fairly new so no copies on torrent sites.

I tried checking on my phone, without logging into my account, the issues persisted with other novels as well.

I've concluded that Webnovel truly seems to be down. You can get to the site, but you can't read anything. It seems to have been taken down, stripped of content. Perhaps it is just temporary, but I wanted to see if anyone knew anything.


Edit: Shame really. Quite a few stories there that were shaping up to become pretty good.
 
The app works fine....

You could also use BoxNovel site as it downloads from them...

So they've fcked up the site but not the app? Suspicious asf...

And no, Boxnovel has neither of the novels I was looking to read right now. I checked. Can't find it through search engines either. And all this considered, I really don't want to get their app.

Edit: I'll try with my deactivated anonymous sim on the old phone. Just to confirm.

Oh! Maybe it's a country thing? Should I perhaps switch vpn country location...

Are you sure though? Can you actually open up and start reading new novels?

Doesn't work on my anonymous sim and old phone. Either it's a country thing, or you're likely wrong. Did you really try to open up a novel and read it? Or did you just connect to the site? Cause anyone can do that.

Just checked, it says the novels have X chapters translated but the chapters themselves vanished. Tried 3 different novels from 3 sections but they're all the same.

Edit: When I say vanished, I mean the table of contents are empty and the read button... just double checked and since I last visited the website however many minutes ago, the read button has been greyed out and the chapters translated number (X) has also vanished. Actively removing stuff as we speak basically.

From my European neck of the woods, frontpage seems to be up, accessing forums gives me a 504, accessing table of contents gives me a 400 "something went wrong" error.
 
I suspect the CCP came down hard on it. But mod said he could still see it on his app, can anyone else confirm? I am not sure if he got tricked by the external framework outside of the actual novels or not.

it is the same with direct links to chapters. It's not just the links that are gone. The content really is gone too.


Edit: Nvm, everything is back! Yay!

Guys is webnovel down again or no since it just went down for me today and sorry for the neceo,but I need some other people's opinions since I went to the site and it says service not available in you're region which is weird as it was usable yesterday and early today
