What does your muse eat?

My inspiration kicks in when I listen to music. (It doesn't matter what kind, which is a bit weird. Currently, Unwritten is my song of choice.) That's normal.

It also shows up when I eat fried chicken. That's not.

What gets you guys writing?

Like you said music helps a lot. Reading something I find interesting also gets me motivated. Also taking a shower helps me think.

Not sleeping.
I write most after spending twenty hours awake.

Afterwards, I spend about an hour waiting for comments, then pass out.

Edit: Apparently, my muse is also inspired to gift me with new ideas when I'm supposed to be doing something else.
Thanks, muse. Not until I've updated what I'm doing.

MY SOUL
I SACRIFICE MY SOUL FOR ENLIGHTENMENT

Nah, but any strong emotion will do.

Pacing...

My muse is like a bloody Poke-Egg... New plots hatch after a number of steps... so I end up pacing around in circles when ever i get an idea...

My muse eats coffee.

If I'm even the slightest bit tired, I can't write for shit.

Work. I do my best writing when I should be working.

This is kind of a worrisome attitude, but there you go.

My muse runs off... near everything really. The actual issue is of getting it down... which then usually requires...

1) Established flow (Neutral to Positive emotional state helps.)
2) Music!
3) Lack of outside interferences! (Distractions due self is another matter entirely.)

Usually occurs at night however q_q

I can manage writing even if (badly) sleep deprived... just it'll probably impact quality slightly.

My muse is a fickle unpredictable thing that will drop a flaming gem into my lap that I just have to get out on paper before disappearing without a trace.

Other times, it turns out that the flaming gem was actually a flaming turd and I didn't notice until a little while later when I looked back and went over what I wrote while thinking "Why did I write this? Why did I think this was a good idea? This is fucking garbage!"

The strength of my muse is directly proportional to the amount of study I should be doing. I write the most during the lead-up to exam time.

I have no idea. If someone figures it out, please inform me.

My Muse is a whimsical thing that entertains itself as a plot bunny breeder on its pastime. I've also found that it works best when I'm running, really tired, slightly drunk, or ?.

I'm still trying to figure out what ? is.

My muse is very whimsical. Usually it gave me good idea when I am eating, while I wait on the train or when I'm walking outside.

In short it always chooses the moments when I don't have paper on hand to write the idea down. So I use my cell as a recording device a lot.

My muse loves to awaken when I'm going to sleep soon, at night.
I hate it when she does that.

My muse loves to be active, and throw ideas by the dozens, specifically when I have other work to do.

Happiness. If I'm sad, there's no inspiration. Side dishes such as Music, manga, or animes may help, but if I ain't happy, I ain't writting.

My muse tends to awaken from sleep deprivation and tends to dine and dash leaving others to (hopefully) pick up the bill (write the actual story).

My muse loves me so much that she gave me so many material, but after seeing me days by days strapping my ass on the chair alone in the dark room with the smoking laptop she left me, telling me that my healthy body is more important, especially my brain is needed for examinations.

Well, sometimes she still returned if I re-read her previous works and material she gave me.

My Muse can be born from well... Quite a few things.

Reading and feeling things for one, being bored and thinking on various What Ifs? for another.

And it could also be born from being a bit loopy while sleep deprived, or high on sugar or Alchohol, or other things of the top of my head.

What my Muse doesn't like however, is to be recorded. It demands the highest of prose, but can't seem to make it's mind up on what colorful words will describe it. It wants FABULOUS Details, but is consumed by a blank canvas.

Only by getting a notepad full of sketch notes, and channeling the same mantra over and over on that VISION! Can I even have the chance to write. Once I get a few bones in though, and no interruptions or Tab killers... It will be a beautiful lady. More so if given enough time to grow...

My muse is random. Like I could be doing nothing but daydreaming and an idea comes to my head.

So basically anything can inspire my muse.

Tears.

As long as I'm actively writing something, anything, where I'm planning on surprising my readers I'll have no shortage of ideas and drive to write them.

The problem comes when I don't have any long-term projects being worked on, and starting a new one is nearly impossible.

I honestly don't know what fuels my muse. I can get ideas at the most random times, though they don't exactly come with a push to write them down. I do know that it usually isn't very active if I'm even a little bit inebriated.

... maybe my muse feeds on happiness? It might explain why it hasn't been so active as of late.

Apparently feeling like shit combined with annoying dreams and too-long hibernation through the whole damn day does all right. There's a new idea brewing and percolating right now.

Funnily enough, my muse kicks in when I'm bored.

You can guess how bad that is when I'm absorbed in something interesting.
