So, I am not sure if there is already a thread like this where you can ask if someone knows a specific book/Anime/manga etc.... that you have been searching for, but I thought I could make it since I have been searching for a specific oneshot manga for a bit now and cannot find it anymore even though I know what it was about.
It played in a sort of pseudo-medieval Setting where a mercenary gets taken in by a young woman when he goes into a city. The young woman hasn't got the best Reputation and there is even whispers of her being a witch. But she does a good Job as a sort of doctor, knowing all sorts of sicknesses and how to treat them.
But then she gets caught as a witch and burnt at the stake. The Story continues with the mercenary falling into a mindless pain as he searches for something to live for and years later, the priests and Major who burned the woman at the stake are caught by the Pope of the Nation and also burned together with everyone else who was involved....
Then it turns out that the woman actually created an Illusion which she says is the future that would await them if they burned them.
Basically, everyone saw their worst future, the Horror and pain of death etc... and she tells them that this will be their curse if they kill her.
Turns out she has a sickness that activates off her stress and Shows horrible visions to People, which she wants to get rid off, but she doesn't know how. The mercenary, overcome with happiness over the woman not being dead vows to travel with her and find a cure.
.... Damn I know the Story so well still, but I cannot fucking remember the Name of the oneshot.....
