I just watched Requiem for Vengance in Netflix and suddenly I became curious about the following question...

If you were to be transported to a Gundam universe, what kind of Mobile Suit would you like to pilot?

A wonderweapon like the Gundam?

Or a proper military warmachine like the Zaku or one of it's variants?

Either the Turn X Gundam for its menacing appearance or the Sinanju because it looks awesome.

Honestly I wouldn't want to pilot any of them, it's war and I'm a coward.
I'd rather try to become a mecha designer, that seems like fun and it'd be lucrative as hell if I succeeded which I believe I would if transmigrated young enough to learn the advanced science of that verse considering all the fictional mechas I know of.
I think I'd start with Zoids, mechas in the mobile suit universe are mostly humanoid after all which seems rather limited to me. Even if they don't prove superior in combat they might be a nice novelty or be useful as mounts or auxillary weapon platforms.

Only way I'd be good enough given the demands of a Gundam.

Never watched any Gundam shows, but I played a Gundam video game one time on a friend's console. I ended up picking that Ball thing a lot, because it was cheap but could still pack a punch. So for the price of one normal mecha I could get like 3 respawns with that Ball and just float around on the periphery sniping people all day. I wouldn't want to be inside the Ball, since they get destroyed pretty easily, but if I could remote-pilot it like a drone, that would be pretty sweet.

Better yet, forget the Ball and just give me 200 normal FPV drones (or 2 million, for the price of even one Ball) and I can just send them one at a time to drop bombs on all the mechas out there. Some* say drones are a weapon for homosexuals, but if it works, it works.

But in terms of normal mechas, I always liked the look of the Zaku. I did a gundam roleplay one time and that was the model I picked. I don't know anything about its specs, I just liked the look of it. A lot of mechas look stupid and cartoony, but Zaku looks pretty solid, like something a military would actually design and mass-produce, not just the fantasy of some cartoonist who smoked a ton of weed.

*Going by the translated words of a Chechen soldier in a Ukraine video I watched one time.
