World Traveling with Human Core Energy

Disengaging thrust in five, four, three, two, one.

I let out a sigh as I looked out the window. In my view was a three star system with planets. The color of the gases made the sight actually look really pretty. I leaned my seat back. To think. We went from a single planetary species to an interstellar one only ten years ago. I was currently just chilling in the Explorator Six. It was a small ship, only the size of a minivan really. Had to crawl around most of the time. But it worked for what I wanted it to.

I put the Explorator Six into orbit as I moved, turning on the spell for artificial gravity I crawled to the back. Laying sideways I pushed out human core energy into the Adaptive PC. It responded instantly as my HCE was verified. Opening it up I opened up youtube. I turned on some relaxing music as I laid down.

What was I doing? I was taking a break. I've just been phase traveling at FTL for the last eight hours. I'm exhausted. Maybe not physically thanks to being at level three, but I was mentally. Laying there I thought about how we got here.

Back in 2030, ten years ago. I made an advancement. One that revolutionized humanity. Accident really, I was trying to recreate something from my stories. I succeeded. Human Core Energy. Also called Qi by some. This was game changing. It was magic that could be easily taught and used, and most importantly. Improved.

It spread all across the United States. A few months later it leaked out of the U.S. There were conflicts of course. People got a little bit of power and suddenly thought they could take on the government. Not realizing that the gov wasn't going to just ignore a powerful weapon like HCE. I got in contact with Elon Musk a year later in 2031. I helped develop spells that could expedite his space program. In exchange he helped make sure I got my own shuttle. The Explorator Six is not that shuttle. It's back home on Mars.

Spells were pretty much all over the internet now. It had a few issues, the year 2034 was called the year of terror for pretty much everywhere but the U.S. Everywhere else practice of HCE was limited or controlled while in the U.S. if someone tried using it to commit terror they would be stopped by six or seven other practitioners. There were still troubles, but nowhere near at the level of other countries during the time. But by the end of the year things had entered a realm of relative peace. I wasn't really on talking terms with Elon at the time. I just worked with him. But commercial space flight was now possible and it was getting better every month.

Healing Spells and Rejuvenation Spells were all over the world by this point. Pretty much making everyone on Earth immortal. Those who were old or on their death build were healed. People with disabilities no longer had them. A lot of old people who would have died were now young again and a bunch of people that had alzheimers now really hated their family. Turns out healing doesn't cause the patient to forget what happened to them when they had it. That wasn't completely common. But it happened more than enough to be newsworthy.

With HCE replacing oil as the world's leading source of power suddenly a lot of people wanted to have more kids. As the strength of Human Core Energy increases the more practitioners and the more humans there are. I had quite a few assassins after me once the oil barons realized I had caused them to basically start the road to bankruptcy. Not all of them. Some switched over to hiring hundreds of humans to crystallize some of their HCE to be used as fuel which basically replaced oil at the pump. The ones that tried to take me with them failed, and the ones that went the other route? Well they are doing great last I heard.

I'm off topic. It's fun thinking back to all this. But it's only how I am here. Not the why.

I'm taking a book from another story of mine. World Factory. The idea of a single person capable of converting an entire world into a factory capable of producing nearly anything. Thanks to HCE? That's possible, and I don't even need resources to do it. HCE Energy to Matter conversion breaks the law of conservation of matter. In both ways, it can create and destroy matter. It takes less energy to create items than they give when you destroy them. Ex-Nihilo resource generation in the palm of your hand with a spell you can cast at level two.

This project of mine is a mostly independent project. I had four other people back home that helped plan it all out. I wouldn't be bored either cause with the Quantum Tunnel spell engraved on my modem I can play games on my PC from anywhere in the universe with minimal lag.

I'll be honest. 70% of my time here is probably going to be me playing games or cultivating. Maybe I'll put a day or so a week into the factory till I get a sudden burst of inspiration and work for several hours. Why me? The guy that made it all possible instead of one the others? Well. Since I was an early adopter of HCE, and the pyramid scheme nature of HCE. I was one of a handful of people with a Level Three Human Core. Meaning I had enough power in my body to rival a nuclear bomb. So I could actually build the factory without depleting my energy as well as travel using the phasing FTL to a planet that hadn't been actually claimed yet.

I had a gate set up so I could teleport back any time I needed. But I think I'll do pretty good out here.

Heh, that was a good recollection. Leaning back up I crawled back into the pilot seat. I snapped my finger and a form fitting suit covered my body. It would keep me alive while I traveled. I put my foot on the petal and let the thrusters fire as the universe shifted around me. I'll land on the fourth planet in the system in about thirty minutes.

Im a little sleepy writing this. But some things to note. A lot of irl businesses would have collapsed due to the introduction of HCE, for one the medical industry is now almost entirely gov funded because everyone can just heal each other now. Causing them to have no patients nore forever patients. Big Pharma basically collapses.

The anti gun movement is pretty much gone by this point because well, everyone can do the same thing with their bare hands.

AI originally goes under before 2040, however makes a return with the introduction of HCE as they use spells to bridge the gap between a A.I. logical thinking and a humans. No real robots yet, but the chatbot quality is off the charts.

Pretty much all power facilities are in the process of being replaced by an HCE type of fusion reactor where spells force the reaction to occur with no negative side effects.

Humans are populating rapidly due to the immortality and the knowledge that the more humans there are the more the current humans benefit.

Thats all I can really think of per the moment.

Ok, this planet apparently has a relatively breathable atmosphere, and a bit of wildlife. Surprisingly friendly wildlife at that. I'll have to make the machinery with barriers so I don't accidentally kill them. Anyways my friends back home have developed some machines for me to build. I have a Casting Assistant so building the things is as simple as pointing and clicking. The hard part is inscribing spells on the required components. Which required me to actually build the machine into parts and then put it together. I turned on my headset as I got to work.

First thing first. Flatten my work area. I found myself in an uninhabited space and flattened it down. Converting the extra mass into energy.

I'll listen to politics while I work I suppose. There were four parties now in Gov trying to oppose one another. There were the Republicans and the Democrats. But there was also the Libertarians and Naturalists. Honestly, it was kind of shocking how fast Libertarians were rising in the polls. I'm certain it has to do with their party's opinion on HCE. They want no practicing restrictions on it. Naturalists were the exact opposite of the Libertarians. They wanted to heavily limit HCE. Somehow they had become an actual problem. For me at least. I don't like them. Reminds me of how the Oil folks were when they realized they couldn't beat HCE and it was about to completely replace oil.

Oh we were at war again with the UK? Nah that is clickbait but apparently tensions are high again over President Sutton's actions. Nothing new then. Almost done with the first machine. The HCE condenser. The Core of the Factory. It would turn my HCE into crystals which will then get processed into various metals at a higher efficiency. Basically less effort from myself for four times the return.

I paused to change the video. Oh, the new Strider 2 Graphics Card is out. They are really taking advantage of the HCE. Graphics Cards nowadays make the older ones look like potato cards. The better companies were dimensionally folding more processing power into single chips with spells that fold space. This allowed for the whopping four thousand core CPU for example. A flash drive of today could hold terabytes of data and you could easily buy a cheap ten terabyte ram stick. Modern Games physically can't run on the old PC's from the 2020's. The Devs stopped really caring about optimization when most of their games only can take a tenth of a modern pc's processing power at most.

Hmm? I got a message from my brother. He's checking up on me. That's nice. I let him know what I was doing before getting back to work. After finally setting up the machines, I got up from my work place and walked over to my Explorator Six, sealing it from the outside world as I started to play some video games.

Blood leaked into the ground. I got into a conflict with the native predators. Large elephant-like creatures with mantis-like heads and a red coloration. I was unharmed. But the alien predators were not. I crushed the skull of four and ripped three others in half before the rest of their pack fled. Unfortunately I have no clue if any of the meat is edible. Although I suppose I don't even need to eat their meat. Could just make some with a spell if I was hungry.

There was something I had to do though. I started channeling a psychic spell and grabbed the corpses with my mind, carrying over and putting them far from my building area. I picked up the blood the same way. After that I grabbed my build tool and started to build walls around the construction site. I was preparing to make a teleporter to send the first supply crate back home. It would be filled with HCE crystals for now. In the future it will be filled with complex equipment. This is basically a proof of concept.

I heard crunching sounds, walking back over to where I disposed of the corpses I watched as a large turtle-like creature munched on them. It looked cute. I need a scanning tool like in subnautica. I will ask my friends back home to make one.

Huh, new news. The first Space Force Fleet is now in orbit of Earth. A whopping forty ships. Images are pretty intimidating. This is definitely a show of force from the United States. Tensions must be rising with the other countries again. I wonder if the president will contact me if we go to war? As a level three I was a powerful strategic asset but at the same time I was also a civilian. I will find out if anything happens in a year I guess.

I was no longer alone. Once the teleporter was up and running I suddenly had a dozen people in a similar space suit to my own walking around. Speaking of which. I'm glad I don't have to wear the bulky spacesuits that astronauts wore back in the day. Instead we have the form fitting suits of today. Real sci-fi stuff despite their magical origin.

Regardless we got investors into our project. Some of the people were concerned a bit because we haven't even finished terraforming Mars and we were already spreading out. But Mars had variable weather and would take a while before it was safe for factory type work. So a bunch of Level 2's were sent to help me build this place up. We were already expanding on the existing infrastructure that I had built and were spreading the factory floors into segments. Each one would be dedicated to a different company that would rent from my parent company. It'll most likely be filled with chip manufacturing early on.

I technically didn't have much to do here but survey. Someone had started a scan company that paid people to scan undiscovered things and then they had their team name the newly discovered items. They were receiving a ton of investments apparently. The Explorer Guild was now a full on government institution. Or at least, it was starting. President Sutton heard about what I was starting out here and wanted to help fund it.

I might head home and get in my corvette for a exploration trip. Tempted. But I got to register as a Explorer first if I want to get paid for my discoveries. There is something I want to do though, it's not really exploring our world. HCE is a powerful energy type. It only requires a bit of intent and imagination to make full spells. People have made full on programming and scripting languages for the thing for advanced spells. The Phaseshift Drive for example partially phases the ship out of reality so it can reach FTL speeds. That was done with javascript. They ported the programming language of java into reality via a Java HCE Codex and simply programmed the spell into existence. That was one of many FTL's that now existed. There were a ton of different types of FTL drives being shared online and most of which could be printed through the new generation 3d printers.

I got distracted, as I was thinking a moment ago. There was something I wanted to do. I wanted to try to visit fictional worlds. It's possible. I think. I just need a gate. I proposed my idea to the President through an email. No response yet but I've started working on the spellcraft. I made a draft of what I want the spell to do. Doing it safely was an issue but I think I could do it. Just takes time and effort. From the looks of it I might have to make a spell chain. Basically multiple spells that acted in unison to achieve the effect I want at the lowest cost. I've formulated that it will take anywhere between two hundred and five thousand written spells to make this possible. Hopefully I don't have to do this alone and I can get some help.

HCE can be cast multiple ways. It's all about the intent that drives it. You could pull that intent into languages like Java, C sharp, Python. Or if you aren't that good at programming you could take your time and draw the image of the spell into the air. Like a artist just channel the magic till your spell is complete. You could make a spell by drawing a line in the air if you can figure out all the workings of the spell. It's capable of just about anything. You could channel the magic through your voice and speak the spell into existence if you want as well. Or even dance it.

I got a response. Almost two weeks later about my project. President was heavily interested in my project and was assigning some people to come help me. So I went back to Mars to a newly setup facility that would hold this project. On the side he requested one of our first tests to be to try to go to a porn world. Something called Taimenan or something like that, I cannot pronounce the name.

I don't know what to say about that. It's probably possible. I'd have tried to go to Star Trek first. See if we can purchase Replicators from that version of humanity. Oh well. Who knows where the first gate will be opened to. It might even go down to vote. Someone suggested something called the Culture. I have not read those stories. But apparently they have insane technology. Anyways conversations on that topic were temporarily shut down as the project started in earnest. My existing work was displayed much to my embarrassment and expanded on. My coworkers were empathetic even though I had tons of mistakes in my spells that I was working on. Said that despite not knowing that much on the programming side of things that my vision could be clearly seen in the programs. Which, I suppose is fair. That is heavily important in a spell. Although I am thinking about augmenting my intelligence and giving myself a boost.

I'm trying to make this from the pov of me without boosting my attributes to make me braver or something like that like I do in my other stories. While also including the fact that he isn't the center of the world, even though he made HCE many people have advanced it further than he did. He's pretty average but with a lot of connections thanks to his creation. While including universes I've never read but I know are popular as well.
