I'm looking for a Worm fanfic I read a while back but I don't think I ever clicked to watch on or something it's either a tinker of fiction a jump chain or a celestial forge but what I do remember is the main character is a veteran I believe they recently got off a plane or just found themselves transported into Brockton bay instantly there was no talking with any like God whatever. they ended up getting a halo engineer and then the biological version whatever it's called and I know they at least got M-16 from girls front line and a few others. I remember that he attempted to get into a good neighborhood to set up a base first then failed then went out to a trailer park and encountered a grandma with a shotgun. That's all I can remember.
