Earlier today, my computer came under a network attack. The source was discovered to be another computer in the network, which had been infected.

And just recently, my Chrome new tabs page changed, becoming this:

What is wrong with the image? Are those tabs not ones you have/had open?

The appearance of the page changed, and I didn't change it. And I can't find anything that would have changed it.

The reason I'm worried is because the last time I got a virus, pretty much the same thing happened.

The appearance of the page changed. The search/url box is located higher, the website icons used to be different.

Basically, the theme has changed, and I didn't change it. And I can't find anything that would have changed it.

It was a chrome update. I got it too when I restarted my system for the first time in a week yesterday.

Nothing to worry about here. Chrome self updates. This is the new UI look.

That was the very first thing I looked up, and I couldn't find anything on it.

Because it was just a UI change, I don't think it would have hit the tech sites for new or anything. If you are really that worried, you can go to google's page on chrome and look at the change-logs, but I don't think there is any need for that. Your browser UI looks just like mine.
