Omake: Gamma, Queen of the Slimes
Alone. She had been freed from her service of the man named Hensworth. It was a temporary thing, at least, that was what she hoped. Despite what he had done, how he had created her, she still did not want him to be gone. Lost forever into the shadowy void they call death. They had left to fight, all the humans. Some of them had even taken their minions. Hensworth had only taken Alpha. The creature, once a frail and angry being, was now large and mighty and in control. Yet it could still release the anger at a moments notice, decimating anything in his path. But aside from Alpha, Hensworth had left his other minions in town. He gave them one goal. Protect. He had said 'You will protect this town. We have done all we could to make sure it was rebuilt. I'm not letting it fall again.' And they left. And Gamma wandered the forests that called to her. It was there she found inspiration. She would help protect the town with the numerous things that surrounded it. In a clearing in the woods she saw it. A slime, slowly digesting some animal carcass. But this slime had something else inside of it. She recognized it instantly, the slime within her becoming almost submissive at the sight of it. A slime core. So Gamma approached the slime, cautious and interested. It took notice of her and they... communed. It was then, away from the town, away from people and individuals and even minions, that Gamma finally heard the song of her half siblings. She was truly linked with the hive mind that was the slimes. With this new link in her possession, Gamma made a resolve. The slimes wouldn't be looked down on anymore. Not when they would protect the town. All she had to do was figure out how this slime got its core. Then, the slimes would be smarter, stronger. And they would protect the town. Nothing could stand in her way.
Omake: Kiven's Merchant Job
He strode into town; confident, strong, and a large sack full of assorted items slung over his shoulder.. He had parted ways with the others, but did see them every so often. Ususally it was because of the new town that had popped up. Supposedly a corruption of sorts had plagued the area and it may have had something to do Kaysen and his red trees. Needless to say, even if it wasn't about the Lord of the Red Trees and his bullshit, Kiven loved a good fight. But today he was visiting the town for a different reason. He was here to meet an old friend and offer him some wares. His feet were bare, it was the first time in a long while that he had taken off his skates and he needed to stretch his feet. The town was strangely peaceful, considering the circumstances, but he appreciated it nonetheless. The ground was wet, it must have rained recently, and the water soaked into the soles of his feet. A rumble in the sky told him it was going to rain again. He left the hood of his cloak down, wanting to feel the rain on his head. He had traveled a lot, and one of the things he loved the most, anywhere in the world, was the wind and the rain of thunderstorms. He came to a building, smiling upon reading the sign. Caine's Curios. The man, he was definitely a man now, pushed the door open just as the heavens let loose. Kiven flexed his metal arm at Caine with a wide grin. "I've gotten it improved since we last met. I got some things you might like. Wanna see?"
