One allegory lost in translation of Journey to the West is the location where the Monkey King studied his taoist skills first from Puti Zushi (Bodhidharma), 斜月三星洞 which is translated as "Slanting Moon Three Stars Cave", but a slated stroke and three dots is how you write 心 (The Heart), so in seeking immortality, he is actually searching his heart for the answers and direction to life.

While many people read the surface level stuff from Journey to the West, such as the political satire about the emperor and the religious allegory about buddhism from the original text, due to how buddhism is no longer politically correct, it is now seen as religious satire about buddhism, especially in later iterations of media, but it's these little details that have remained unchanged.
Got any idea on how much further the update has to go? Would've asked in-quest but didn't want to doublepost.

Ai has a very hard time with dark images by default, if ya can use lora to alter generation try something like "[Modifier] Dark night images" or as downloaded "Midis_Dark_V02[IL]" on civit can bring the light down quite a bit.

No, I never wrote one but I do plan to, eventually.

So far, I've written a corporatist Atlesian one, a left-wing one, and when I do write down an Ironwood one, it's going to be a right-wing one.

It's incredibly political. But that's fine. I'm doing fics on all sides of the aisle so that I can always come out on top. I don't subscribe to specific politics, I'm a fan of Holden Bloodfeast, a true bi-partisan king.
