Uchiha Izumi: How old are you, Rin?
Nohara Rin: If I were still alive, I'd be thirty, but I died when I was thirteen.
Uchiha Izumi: What a coincidence, I died when I was thirteen too!
    Nohara Rin: Haha, really...
    Those "inu youkai" are tiangou,

    and tiangou eat the moon

    the fucking moon

supposedly, in most myths here, if there's an eclipse, demons are weakened, sort of like, you know what happened in ATLA, but they aren't firebenders, it's more like something to do with moon = taiyin star, and demons = yin

so does she weaken herself when she causes an eclipse? should this be like an "atavistic bloodline ability"?

if she "returns to origin (blood)", does this make her or other inu youkai less like other youkai?

... I should differentiate in the lore, so youkai is just a blanket term

If you think about it, the villains systems in urban subgenre asking the villain to make the male protagonist mad or upset, it's basically a form of breaking the spirit, but doing something you naturally do shouldn't reward points, however if you think about it, these male protagonists are "sons of destiny" or "sons of heaven", in addition to good luck, they also need to have a "resolute dao heart"

That's because they're villain protags fighting hero antags.
    lmao these urban villain types

their most unpredictable antagonists are the protagonists with a system; but the systems are often retarded, like "mission reward: 1 million USD, mission failure: peepee half sized"

so when the villains mess with their mission success rate, it's kinda silly
Apparently, since you know, the racist nationalists are on the rise and backed by the government/party here, they tend to call Teslas by a nickname "特死啦", which is a phonetic translation of the name, but the literal meaning is "very dead" or "very damned". Such a creative and silly nickname.
There is an idiom, "武功再高,害怕菜刀", which can be understood as no matter how good your martial arts skills are, you're still gonna be scared of someone with a weapon.

So in Boruto, they have this thing they call "Chakra Edible Creation", and it's like, basically turns people into pills, more evidence that the Otsutsuki are actually demonic cultivators that cut off the Dao of Heaven, which is why the Laws of Heaven are incomplete in that world ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Sarutobi Hiruzen was probably a good teacher with systematic drilling, look at Jiraiya. But Jiraiya is an idiot so he didn't adapt to having a genius as a student. So Minato learned everything on his own. He expected the same from Kakashi, and it was wartime, so Kakashi learned on the go. And this is why Kakashi doesn't know how to teach kids, because Jiraiya is an idiot.
Come to think of it, the Danmachi and Hunter x Hunter settings are pretty great for this type of growth and powers synergy story

The Boys is good but has a problem that it doesn't really have anything to build plot out of outside of stations of canon, but Batman, hm... tbh I haven't had much goodwill for DCU; never liked Young Justice, recent movies were mid... lacking something, idk

Hehe maybe one Senhime lives in "gestalt Japanese doujinshi world" with thousands of ugly bastards, loner high schoolers, etc. with hypnosis powers, time stop watches, etc.

I kinda wanna do one of those "several versions of yourself isekaied at the same time" type story because they seem so fun in how they, you know, overlap each other's advantages and disadvantages together for a common goal, which is so neat
I found two of these "disgustingly hypocritical, betraying family and friends" type male protagonists, in Wuxia, like Yi Xiaochuan and Linghu Chong, but you know, even so, they're not as bad as the "oblivious yet maintaining a harem with only redeeming quality being seemingly kind" type in manga, you know, like DXD or Strike the Blood...

    ... so many unsatisfactory protagonists

uhhh Linghu Chong is from a classic wuxia on the level of, idk, LOTR, I guess, but in the wuxia genre, anyway, so he helps rapists, betrays the people who raised him, professes one true love to multiple girls, causes his own teacher to self-neuter because Linghu Chong is unwilling to help that teacher by teaching him a skill that belonged to their own school of martial arts

but you know, for all the awful shit they do, I still feel like they're better than Hyodo Issei or Akatsuki Kojo or Kusanagi Godo... who seem like they're copy-pasted each other... but well, IDK why? Some instinctual latent disgust? Hmm

Apparently, there's a saying that "Wuxia cannot be without Mrs Guo (Huang Rong), just like the West cannot be without Jerusalem, and 3D cannot be without Tifa, and Japan cannot be without AV"
If you think about it, if you have the power to phase through things, hide in shadows, invisibility, then you could act like a ghost
A nickname for ghosts is "a piao", you know the "a" is what's put on most nicknames, just like how "-chan" is used in japanese, but the "piao" is "floating", so it's sort of like when you say "oh, and there's an a piao", it's like you're saying "oh, and there's a floatie" or something like that, but it's never really translated well directly, it's hard to find an equivalent
