    Hey in my Danny Phantom story, you mentioned that ghosts of DP could be the echoes of souls. What did you mean by that?

    In the Dresden files, ghosts are residual psychic echoes, and aren't the actual people who died.
    The soul leaves for the afterlife after death, and the ghosts is essentially a magical imprint left in the mortal world, except a very select few that maintain their souls, mainly via interventions of major beings or necromancy.
    In that series a person can even create a ghost by "dying" and then getting reanimated by CPR.
