    Honestly, I think it was budgetary as well as keeping things T rated. Smoking out Dead bodies is much easier to animate than having a bunch of bodies that need to be drawn after every fight.

    Because they do in the Anime. The LN makes has proper dead bodies and supporters do work, but the Anime makes it more RPG like that the enemies just drop their stones and dissolve when killed.
