No, this doesn't work either. There's no fantasy with historical elements that I want to use that I can think of.
I thought maybe scifi like SC; but I don't really feel for the setting itself.
I don't want to write a detailed, nitpicking quest. No empire builders, no little numbers of RPG elementz. That stuff is boring and tiresome to manage.

How about Warcraft/Overlord quest. It is the year 2134, the level cap is 1000, and Blizzard had finally implimented guild&player housing, it only took them 100 years and VR over taking PC as mainstream. After a 130 year run, WoW is finally shutting down. You are the last player/guild master; youwere there since WoW beta. Create your guild, then quest start?
