Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

Am back, literally just spent a solid thirty minutes talking to my dad. He's good. He talked a lot about the Nonprofit he runs and some of the cool stuff they've been doing. Food and dogs are good. The dogs have started lying down and chilling.
It's called the Evie effect if you want to look it up. Based in Tyler Texas. It's as the name implies, dedicated to my little sister who passed, in helping people who are dealing with mental illness and stuff. They started out doing small group events for handling grief, and have over time moved onto doing whole concerts and races to raise money and awareness for mental health.
Apparently they have a Podcast now where various members of their group can come and tell their stories. And since Tyler Texas has been growing so fast as a town, and the government over it has been really pushing tourism, it means a lot of musicians are getting invited and involved with the Evie effect since there actually one of the larger organizers now for concerts in the town.
They needed something to put their grief into. I have my disagreements with it, in the sense that they still have three other kids who lives they really aren't that involved in and that dedicating most of your waking time and constantly talking about suicide and self help methods isn't healthy, but they are helping people and forming a little community. There are a lot of worse ways they could've handled it.
I think at this point she's over the worst of it. She's genuinely gotten a lot better these past couple of days, went out to eat today and going to the store yesterday. If she was going to go to the hospital it would've been Thursday or Saturday which was the worst. But girls, it sounds like you're getting good at getting responses just not good at keeping them.
Writing a sex scene right now actually. Trying to mix domestic bliss/family life with horror undertones is actually kind of difficult. Although making sure Charlie has an appropriate amount of snark and care is also pretty challenging. Go to far in nice she sound too sacrine, to far snark she sounds cruel.
Although speaking of reading's, I did end up getting the Revenge of the sith novelization. It's a little flowery and could use some much needed edge, but it is very good. It's a hard balancing act incorporating George's very Shakespearean style of dialogue without it sounding too cheesy or devoid of emotion but the authors making it work so far.
The prose is pretty good, but like I said with it lacking edge sometimes, they talk about war and they talk about both sides committing atrocities and all these horrible things Sidious does but they don't really show it on screen so to speak. I'm still pretty early in, but a great example is the duel with Count Dooku. Some fun stuff, of him slowly realizing he was a pawn to Sidious the whole time.
That Anakin was going to be Sidious's true apprentice, not him, and their dreams of building a human centric empire and transforming the Jedi into a new Sith order was all bullshit. That this entire time he was just a tool to get Anakin angry enough he dips his toes into the dark side for the first time. Some really cool stuff about realizing he had wasted his life on a lie.
But when it describes what it's like for his hands to get cut off, they literally only give it two lines. Lol. They give more lines describing how many fans Anakin and Obi-wan have on the Star wars version of the Internet. Again it's surprisingly bloodless despite the very dark undertones.
