With every single CEO of the company given the nickname Charlie or being forced to take the name as a family tradition acting as the reason she's always able to keep her name. With the kid who was formally the CEO able to retire and pick out the real career she wants.

So the stand in Daugherty isn't actually that old, their disguising

What's disgusting? It's all make up basically. And the kids are basically immortal as demons. With demons instead of aging linearly like people, they age based on their own personal feelings. So if they feel old, they get old. If they feel young, they stay young. It's all mentality.

But think about that for a second, one of the biggest companies on earth that's been around for hundreds of years and in that time it's been an uncontested dominance by one family, generation after generation, of one female heir getting chosen and taking the lead. You aren't seeing gay marriage in the 1800's, but you want to talk a shot in the arm to early feminist movements.

I like it. This elaborate system whoch requires generations of her daughters to play along.

I sleep soon too. Had some of my favorite barbecue for dinner earlier as a celebration and it's settling in. But what other backstory stuff are you interested in?

But I haven't gotten the timing exactly down. But what I'm thinking between the fiftieth or hundred year Charlie's been here. Enough time for her to develop into a new person and fall in love with her first doomed romance, maybe have a couple kids. With her and Vaggie having to recall in love once they finally meet up again since time between this dimension and her home dimension aren't congruent.

With her home world only a couple years or months passed since Charlie left. But besides general loves and wishes from everyone, along with a few more personal notes from certain people. the big Vaggie has is a Beacon that Lucifer can use to help build a portal between the two dimensions.

With that acting as a big plot point later since Charlie is well aware the chaos and suffering opening a portal between the two worlds could cause but also really, really misses her mom and dad. Thankfully though the portal is complicated enough as well as the time dilation that it gives her enough time to ignore it for now.
