They spend the whole day together, bonding, laughing, having a good time. The reporter despite his mousy nature can and will tease the Misses back, which she likes. But she also likes how much he genuinely cares about the local workers and how much he tries to stand up for them. She gets intrigued and has dinner with him. The two get drunk and eventually the Reporter breaks down and reveals some of his backstory.

Then like you said, at this point Charlie's decided he's husbando material. Explains the situation with her having multiple spouses and if he would like to join. They don't have sex, but they get pretty close. He wakes up, is freaking out and wants to escape when Charlie makes him an offer he can't refuse. An opportunity to explore the whole new building site for several colonies shes establishing in the Niger Delta.

Which for a reporter is literally a dream position. On the one condition, he basically gives dating her a shot and uses this little trip to figure out if the two would work romantically or not. With that proposition starting the whole argument you read about, with the Journalist thinking it was a bribe for a favorable article because he couldn't believe she would genuinely want to marry him.

Yeah she's got a pretty big ass too, but she's a little top heavy. Although she doesn't have a small itty bitty waste anymore. The second or third dozen kids kind of ruined it. lol.
