Would be cool to see corporate honor duels mixed with big events where kind of like Naruto's Chunin exams where they have these big planned out fights which companies, clans, and edgerunners use to show off their talents and raise their reps.

Makima's just fundamentally a lonely miserable person. If she had a family or a loved one she probably could be reformed, the only issues is that her powers are so powerful it's impossible for her to learn how to trust someone since it's too easy for her to just force them to like and trust her which means she never properly learns how to trust thus continuing the cycle.
