    Currently writing the second chapter of Chasing Tail, and it's going in a different direction than I thought it would. For the better imo, as it's still following the plot I planned, just... better? I'm having fun, though, and am looking forward to the reception, good and bad.

    Thinking about starting to post snippets, as they come to me. I've had the idea for a Mass Effect story, and have been finding myself planning its plot, so I may end up creating it.

    That, along with a few other ideas, have been bouncing around my skull, needling at me.

    Where does the love for Final Fantasy 7 come from? I've been playing the remake, up to chapter 9 right now, and I honestly haven't enjoyed it that much. I can understand enjoyers lusting over Tifa or the other one, but... eeeh?

    My main complaint it that it barely feels like a game. I've played a little over ten hours now, and I swear that I only spent 4 of those in control. Even when I am, I'm tethered to whoever I'm following, unable to explore until I've watched all 100 of their cutscenes. Then, I have 2-3 side quests, that barely take five minutes, before I'm thrust back into the story mission.

    Idk, I'm gonna complete it, but I feel like I need to play the original after, to experience where the praise stems from.

    Nostalgia's a hell of a drug. Personally, I think that the plot of FFVII is utterly silly and entirely too convoluted and full of stupid coincidences and decisions to be taken seriously. On the other hand, the characters are lively enough and distinct enough to stand out in the memory.
