Questionable Questing

And a lot of the time its for stuff that's fanfiction, which I always figured was no bueno cuz of copyright and shit but I dunno.

I have the same feeling.

And I'm not even that good, but I could've done better than some of what I've read. People must be blinded by the tits and cunts to not read the content?

Hey, if they ain't protecting their copyrights, then according to the law in some parts of the world, it's public domain. It actually doesn't matter how good a writer is, just what you're willing to sellout for. Supply and demand, and all that.

Go make a Patreon or something and try it out, Cambrian.

I started setting one up yesterday but there's a lot to do... Idk yet, I'm so wishy washy and lazy.

All you have to do is write word-vomit porn that's nasty and over-the-top. Or trash like Twilight. Really, it's not that difficult when you think about it. Have you seen some of the E-Books that are among the top sellers on Amazon? Last I checked, a good portion were fucking horrendous and unedited pieces of shit.
Cambrian
Cambrian
Yeah that was a thought I had a while back too, that I could sell an e-book on Amazon pretty easily probably...
Here There Be Dragons
Here There Be Dragons
Honestly? You probably could. Especially if you write a sci-fi book... there was this one series that was among the top-sellers forever, and cost like a buck. So I got it, and it turned out to be this absolute piece of crap with errors all over the place. Frankly, if you can spell, then you can publish a book (or e-book at least).

Idea I had was a shitty romance horror novel where female protagonist is trapped in a mansion and slowly mind controlled into loving the handsome vampire who trapped her there. But just an idea, so laaaaaazy xD
Here There Be Dragons
Here There Be Dragons
Make the vampire female, add some werewolves, and you have yourself a book series. Might be painful or hilarious to write though. Depends on how you approach it.

Tried to find that book I was talking about... forget what it was called, but it's about a young man that discovers an alien spaceship on the moon with a special shield system that can overlap with each other or some crap. My God it was terrible.

How long would you say these 1 dollar popular ebooks are? And how explicit do you think the "erotic" ones get?

In hindsight, I should have known from the title, but figured it must be good for the entire series to be bestsellers, right?

You have to read it to be even more amazed (don't). By the end of the first book, he's impregnated the girl with a super psychic baby whose power is off the charts. It looks like he may have gotten an editor in the four years since I read it, but the original was absolute shit.

But the fact that he's his own publishing company should be a hint.

If you're going to be lazy, then you might as well promise on your crowdfunding and commissions things you aren't going to do.

Amazon ebooks rarely pay out; they'll tie you to a low paying platform with little means of advertising yourself. A patreon or similar, more direct means ,an be used to ask for large sums, which is what you need because you fill a niche; you aren't broad market.

On the other hand, it does take work maintaining such a thing, if you aren't going to do it, then you can only settle for complaining about other people making money on the internet doing stupid shit while you don't.
Here There Be Dragons
Here There Be Dragons
? He just made it like four hours ago? His point was that he sees people making money/getting commissions while writing absolute crap.

I mean, I don't think he was really all that serious about the shitty romance novel, but even if he did do it I imagine it would come out better than most of the content being produced by commissions.
Here There Be Dragons
Here There Be Dragons
Granted, most of that is smut/porn, but tomato tamato some people just can't spell when their computers have in-built auto-correct. If you can spell, you're probably already producing content that's better than 50% of what's being generated out there.

Yes, and he said "I started setting one up yesterday but there's a lot to do... Idk yet, I'm so wishy washy and lazy." Crowdfunding requires self promotion to an extreme degree. Without that, you cannot succeed.

On the other matter, it doesn't matter the quality of the work. Even if it is shitty, it can make more money than something that is "good". This is, like I said, just dependent on what he is willing to sell out for and how he goes about doing it. Considering I own one of these novel distribution platforms, I know.
