What's up?

I've gotten an idea for an SI/OC. The twist is, they were born as the Twin of Sheev Palpatine.

Okay. As strong in the force as him? Could certainly see Plageuis taking both Sheev and the twin as his apprentices if that were the case. Then it becomes a matter of which kills which first. Unless the twin SI is smart enough to kill Sheev in the cradle so to speak.

*Nods* True, but then they'd be estranged from their family for his murder, yeh?

I mean, Sheev got his apprenticeship with Plageuis by killing his father if I recall correctly. And if the SI does it young enough and makes it look like a tragic accident, no one should ever suspect them. They'd probably end up coddled even more by their parents, after losing a brother right next to them and having such a traumatic experience happen.

What would be pretty twisted were if SI turned slave for Palps... So, y'know, he can get his rockers off?

Yeah if you made the SI a natural submissive you could definitely do that. They lust after Sheev their entire life, completely and utterly endearing themselves to him. They're strong enough in the force that Plageuis takes them anyways and they learn at Sheev's side, only for the express purpose of serving him better.

The problem is, I could also see Plageuis killing the SI in order to cause Sheev suffering, as that's basically what he did to train Palpatine.

This is literally the first thing Plagueis said to Palpatine when beginning his training: "Tell me what you regard as your greatest strength, so I will know how best to undermine you; tell me of your greatest fear, so I will know which I must force you to face; tell me what you cherish most, so I will know what to take from you; and tell me what you crave, so that I might deny you."

So you could possibly have Plagueis let the SI live till the end of Palp's training and then have him order Sheev to kill the SI, leading to Sheev killing Plagueis in his sleep instead. However, that's not really Plagueis' MO based on the line above. It would be more in character for him to just kill the SI in order to rob Sheev of what he loved.

More like what he lusted after, to be honest. But! Aren't Plagueis the most... scientific(?) Of the Sith. He could see the benefits of having an assassin or a backup plan in case Sidious fails.

Yes, however he would not make his back up plan someone who is completely and utterly loyal and submissive to Sidious in every way, as you're suggesting the SI be. The SI would essentially be quite disposable in such a case.

Of course, that isn't to say you can't write the idea as I suggested, with Plagueis trying to make Sidious kill the SI at the end of his training. It's entirely possible for it to go down like that, just slightly OOC. But then, Fanfiction is almost always at least SLIGHTLY OOC lol.
