Questionable Questing

d.fish
he's more like a petulant child than a mastermind, and this season really shows that!

the only way I can see him salvaging his rep is doing something like somehow rounding up all his enemies and letting them kill each other, or having the white oak bullet hit him, only to have it be invalid because of something as silly as him wearing a bullet proof vest
d.fish
d.fish
anyway, he doesn't even have henchmen, let alone faceless minions! what kind of self-respecting mastermind is that???

I assume you haven't seen the newest episode... what are you up to so I don't spoil anything?

I'm up to the episode where they had the drama with the bullet being tossed in the fire or not only to have that first guy who popped up and was foreshadowed to be the enemy to get the bullet cuz the witch betrayed them
d.fish
d.fish
"the witch betrayed them" probably doesn't even say anything anymore because it happens like nearly every episode in some way or fashion, you can't even tell which magic user I'm talking about!

bad writers are bad :/

Okay cool, so I can at least say I absolutely love Lucien at this point, and I'm straight up rooting for him right now.

There is another episode btw up on www.cwtv.com

Its probably the best episode of this season.

I'm too busy downloading newest Vikings episodee omg this show
Cambrian

Heh nice, haven't watched much of that myself. Most distinctive scene I remember from that show was when one of the guys basically usurped a female viking leader SOLELY so that he could start a relationship with her... or something. It stuck with me because I kinda liked the idea of a sexual relationship based on such a premise. The hate fucking would be glorious.

Well, if you aren't watching it, that relationship ended up very satisfactorily with her stabbing the shit out of him on their wedding day.... if you're talking about the people I think you're talking about? Well, equality and all that, I guess. Anyone can pursue their interests with equal vigor in this show, which makes it great and align with how it played out in history! :)

No clue if we're talking about the same people but it sounds like a fitting end to that relationship lol.

The show picks up in the 4th season as they start trying to conquer Paris again, Ashlaug is left alone with a cold bed, Alfred the Great shows up as a little kid, it's like Game of Thrones these days, and the writing is great!

Well, I just saw the episode. That's a pretty shitty plan... what if they killed Aurora? What about all those times he almost died?
Cambrian
Cambrian
It was the long con and I'm guessing Aurora was only a add on feature, not part of the original plan.

And to be fair he did have the prophecy pretty much assuring his plan was going to work after he spent the last 900 years working to this point.

It certainly explains his cockiness over the course of the season.

You can also look back and see how he constantly made Aurora and Tristan seem like the worse of the trinity, making himself look positively docile and friendly in comparison to theur overt revenge fantasies.

Hes been planning this for an awful long time.

It felt like a bit of an asspull to me, but if we accept that Aurora was just an adaption to the plan, then we can accept just about every aspect of his plan. There's just a shitload of plot holes. Like, if this was the case, why did the Originals not do something like this to fight their dad? If he had been planning something like this, why didn't he do it while the dad was still around? Etc etc. etc.

Well we know that he just perfected the werewolf venom given that those wolves in his lab were still alive so he probably didn't have all the pieces until this season at least.

The most glaring plothole to me was that his blonde merc in the last episode said her boss WANTED the Mikealsons to have the last white oak bullet.
