Questionable Questing

Not gonna lie, I overly enjoyed the fact that in the space of 2 minutes, I bought it for 1 silver, got told I was being reported for botting, and sold it for 4995 gold.

I am the worst.

If she had that much money on hand, couldn't she have put it up for auction at an *exorbitant* minimum price, secure in the knowledge that no one else would bid on it?

She could even transfer the money back later by having her alt sell a single arrow or something for the same ridiculous price and buying it with her main account.

"Cross your fingers and hope no one else clicks fast enough" just doesn't strike me as the most secure strategy.

He wanted to send the medallion to the opposite faction so that an alt of his (who probably didn't have as much gold) could utilize it, since you can't mail across faction boundaries.

I sniped it before that could happen and reposted it. I don't know what they did with it after rebuying it, but the toon they purchased it on was their main toon where I assume the majority of their gold was.

That doesn't stop her from using my strategy at all. Just flip the order of the actions - first, have her alt in the opposite faction sell something worthless for an asking price of ten kajillion, have her main buy it, then have her main put of the rare item for ten kajillion and have her alt buy it with the ten kajillion it just got paid for the worthless thing.

Or, put up the rare item for nine-and-a-half kajillion, so that her alt gets to keep half a kajillion to use as pocket money.

It definitely isn't the most secure strategy by far. I've made millions of gold in the last few months, and a sizable chunk of that comes from people trying to move valuable shit across faction boundaries through the AH.
