I didn't hear a single thing the entire time, been home and on the computer all day, but it was pretty hot outside, so closed all windows and ran some fans and AC.

Was a case of domestic abuse looks like, victim was sent to the hospital near the start of the seven hour stand off, so at least there's a silver lining there in that they got to safety and treatment.

Yeah, I really don't know how to feel about it all lol. Kind of disconnected from the whole thing, but hot damn, going off the address and everything, I walk by the apartment the guy barricaded himself in every day I go to work and every night I come home.

Kinda crazy to think about, though at least this was JUST domestic abuse. Doesn't really make the neighborhood bad, because domestic abuse can happen anywhere.

Now, the double homicide three years ago that took place in the middle of the night and resulted in a pair of people being straight up shot in their car on the street right outside my apartment building might make the neighborhood bad.

Given our general track record after three years of living here though, I'm happy to be able to count the number of incidents on only one hand.
