The issue with logging in with email addresses has been resolved.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
I feel like I could do a villain + game-system Pokemon story pretty well with this premise: MC.Biigoh had isekaied to an Earth without Nintendo, which merged with the Pokemon world, and then the "harem protagonist" killed MC.Biigoh, causing him to go back to the start from the moment he isekaied. So villain revenge on "evil hero" plus two systems.
They call the act of preempting a predestined lucky chance (such as Peter Parker's spider bite), usually by someone who knows the future or meta or canon such as a SI, as "beard cutting" in webnovels. It's a meme term. Anyway, most protagonists get a string of lucky chances, so the act of taking all their good fortune at the same time is called "shaved the head clean".
Finally found out why the MTL Pokemon stories have "pretty, young girl" as "Stephanie", it's because Stephanie, the character of the day in Pokemon episode AG034, was not named in the Japanese version and thus was labeled "Girl" in the credits, so these MTL of Chinese Pokemon stories turn many of the instances of "少女" into "Stephanie".
Character bloat is a serious problem in crossover type stories. Is there a means to solve this problem outside of just reducing the amount of actors in each story arc, or is this just gonna be a problem that plagues the majority that caters towards multiple settings?
I used to think "murderhobo" is bad story telling, but I've come to realize it's bad dungeonmastering instead. If people know that you kill all your problems and you cannot be stopped, then they stop trying to be your problems and try to be your solutions, or they plot deeper. Showing that interaction is great, but boohoo off my rails.
It's hilarious, all the Chinese Naruto fanfics have a uniform naming scheme for Inuzuka clan members. Inuzuka Fang, Inuzuka Woof, Inuzuka Paw, Inuzuka Fur, Inuzuka Big Fang, Inuzuka Bite, Inuzuka Tail, Inuzuka Howl...
魔兽 and 兽人 are "magical beasts"/"fantasy creatures" and "beastmen", but it can also be translated as "orcs". So when they translated World of Warcraft as 魔兽世界, they were saying that Azeroth is the "world of orcs".
You ever wonder if the internet came twenty years earlier, we'd have handles like "x.X.x_Akira-Atreides-Snowcrash-God_x.X.x" floating around in some forgotten corner of message boards?
Why did the SI story seem to stay on rails of canon despite the author being aware of the problems of stations of canon? I can only say that this is related to a perversion of humanity, the downfall of morality, and it must be the choice of Stein's Gate!
Wizards who don't have melee mastery, dualwield sword and staff while riding, capability of shooting swords from bows, cleaving a galleon in half with a greatsword, ability to catch bullets and run faster than trains, use ripple and summon a stand proficiently, dress fashionably, lift tall buildings... are subpar wizards.
I think I could twist the background lore of the story a bit more, that the chaos gods were like the titans in Greek myth, with Pangu being the same level as say Gaia
So if Sarutobi Hiruzen's dad's name is Sarutobi Sasuke, and Fugaku named his second son Sasuke, then Fugaku is indirectly telling Hiruzen, "I'm yo grandpappy, kneel down, grandson!!!"
