Ya know, technically Shandris will run into the Orc SI long before Tyrande does if I'm following Warcraft 3's timeline at the start. I wonder if there's a world in which Shandris should fall for the SI first, and then drag her adoptive mother in for some oyakodon because she's seen how lonely Malfurion's long rest has left her?

I'm the kind of person who finds it funnier if the readers all expect her to fall for OrCambrian, but then I pull a switcharoo and she's actually just best buddies with him in a wholesome, platonic way, and then to reveal that she has some hidden, tragic past that will rip out the reader's hearts, because it'd be funnier that way... so don't ask me what to do with Shandris.

Because I guess readers expect "all the girls will fall for him" and "she's just a minor character, she's not going to be important" and "he's just going to be a stallion/bulldozer/plowingmachine"... it's not so much a "subvert the expectation" or even "a twist" as much as "for the lols I'm going against the grain just on this one lol"

Part of me finds the idea of Shandris not falling for Orcam but instead deciding to set him up with her lonely mom while being his bro with tits kind of funny.

But god I would get so many readers saying "but where's my oyakodon waaah" lmao. Then again, I could just make the Shandris/Tyrande/Orcam threesome a Bonus Chapter/Non-Canon omake after the fact.
