Questionable Questing

I haven't been able to read all of it, but I'm liking what seeing so far. The secret society is pretty fucking terrifying actually I love it. I love how realistic it feels, in that you have rules, factions, and politic's, and a big source of the conflict is the characters trying to skirt around those rules for their family or to achieve their own goals. It feels very mafia like and that's really cool to me

I like the concept of fiefdoms and how each family has their own way of ruling them. Like how some are more subtle or others are more hands off.

And the idea of a psychologist slowly manipulating someone to be mores sexually and slowly corrupt them to his point of view, is very sexy to me.

So first of all, all of the secret society stuff? Jackal. He does the bulk of the work on the worldbuilding. I've helped out with adding fuel to the ideas of clans and big concepts, but he does the detail work on how it all goes. Its very cool

And mafia/fedual is the biggest comparison. They are nobles. With vassals and knights and kings and queens and dukes. Mixed in with modern day politics. As for Blue River, this all began with me saying to him, we need a sympathetic protag, a corrupter who believes they are doing the right thing. Jackal said lets make him a therapist.

My current thing is showing how Blue River society is becoming more alien over time and how social pressures built up by the players and characters in Blue River interested in keeping the porn fantasy going are purposefully feeding the corruption and manipulating the culture to stay rotten with sin

Like I have been thinking about how this could affect family arrangements. Sons with hentai bodied mothers as first wives who evaluate their girlfriends. Daughters raised to be porn stars and make money for the family. Woman's self value becoming more bound to how slutty and pretty they are

An increase in the importance of daughters and mothers to sons and fathers as they become their favored lovers. The increase of family values for society as a whole.

Social changes like this transforming the society into one about incest and sex and beauty interest me for how they can explain the ripple effects of the corruption kink applied to a large area

Sorry I couldn't answer earlier, I was at school, but I'm at chapter ten right now. I'm taking my time reading it.
