When Lucifer fell as a star and crashed through Eden, burning it as it split in the dark void and became Hell, the burning core of Hell? That pulsating flame? That is Lucifer's domain. He is the hellfire.

All these other Overlords draw power from the inferno he birthed.

Vaggie should be strapped with guns and blades. Make it a big deal that with how often melee weapons means great power, the fact Vaggie is using a spear to kill Demons and doesn't have to rely on guns except when she wants to use them for efficency shows how much of a threat she is

The spear was used to kill Jesus and put him out of his misery during the crucifixion, so there's that symbolism there too. Maybe the exterminator angel's justify their actions in putting the evil races of hell out of their misery since they can never truly be redeemed. It's a better excuse for killing the people born in hell rather than condemned.

I think Lucifer never intervened before because of a deal he made with heaven. Until Charlie was attacked. As a plot point, Heaven attacking Charlie now lets Lucifer and Lilith offically counter the Exterminations and use Charlie as a PR weapon

I'm thinking even if their was a treaty, there was still low level fights and raids going on in the back ground for a long time. But as time went on Lucifer chilled out and got busy with his family, these raids really started to slow down. With the exterminator raids mostly centered outside of Lilith's domain in the wildlands were the roaming bands of conan larpers actually thought the whole thing was a lot of fun.

So for awhile Lucifer was willing to live and live. Maybe Lilith takes advantage of these raid to knock off any really vile demons, that would be politically inconvenient for her to target, but Charlie finds out, tries to help, becomes a target, and suddenly everyone's on the bring of war again.

Satan chafes at his chains. There is a big plot point. Lucifer scares heaven, but Beael and Satan are both the boggymen of hell and heaven. And both waking up is a moment of crisis for everyone

Its a moment of crisis for Lilith especially, since depending on how big this war gets she's going to be cleaning up that mess for the next odd couple hundreds of years.

But part of her wants to expand her power and protect her people and the mom part is screaming burn all of heaven down Lucy. Side note, how much is shapeshifting a part of Overlord combat? I am thinking of how fucking awesome Stolas demon form is and how that should be more part of Hell's magic.

Would be cool if their was different styles of sword fighting that was specifically designed to integrate the abnormal body sizes and shapes of overlords.

Maybe make it a bit of a rite of passage for an overlord to design their own? I think even the more stuffy overlords could appreciate it since one on one combat is seen as more honorable, and especially during a trial, a good last resort to protect your honor.

Plus Lucifer would probably teach charlie a few pointers when growing up for when she becomes an overlady herself one days and it gives them a funny hobby to do together, that's not just baby ducks.

Speaking of, while I do like the character flaw of Lucifer babying charlie too much and not teaching her politics's I think Lilith especially, should've at least taught her a little bit. Maybe some stuff on leadership or magic?

I think of demon forms are powerful not just for the shape, but also like a Dark souls boss greater demons forms have greater power and abilities attached to them. What demon form for Charlie in war mode?
