That could be a cool dynamic, seeing the horny monster girls and horny weirdos of the garden world trying to corrupt the stoic Knights.

Mana as growing Wildfire or storm or dark sea vs energy construct knights?

I thought mana was going to be like an infection or something more organic, to go along with the whole corruption and losing control idea you had.

Fire is transformative. Glowing mana blood is also good.

That could be cool, maybe have a ritual where someone who's about to be fully corrupted is reborn in fire into their new form.

I do like the infection idea and would like to combine it with that. Knights, constructs is one idea but feels limited. Different forms of light in a color magic system?

In some of HP Lovecrafts work, there's certain colors and their associated wave lengths that drive people crazy and mutate them horrible, could work in something like that. Maybe have good colors and bad colors?

Colors as cosmic rays for knights while having say blood energy auras for the Gardens?

Blood energy... You know what would be cool, if like in nature how certain animals time their cycles around the moon, if during certain phases of the moon the garden people either get more aggressive or more horny? Maybe tie it in with the whole color's thing by making it to were the moon releases a certain color light on these days, like a blood moon or something.

Possible, hard to implement but interesting. Different colors of starlight for the knights can work for different magic types on the other end

So these cosmic rays for the knights, are you thinking it like green lanterns in that they turn their will power and determination into constructs or is it something else?

Constructs are limited. I think could be spheres of forces and reality
