Questionable Questing

I think with Vampires, like Zombies, they just got oversaturated for awhile and people got bored of them. It doesn't help that twilight really pushed the supernatural romance genre with vampires to the forefront making them a bit of a joke for awhile.

I think eventually they'll come back. Maybe not as strong, but still enjoy vampires and eventually new media will get made. Any genre no matter how oversaturated will eventually get a revival. Westerns used to be the example everyone went to when they talked about oversaturated media and yet now their more popular than ever with tv shows like YellowStone getting millions of views.

It just might take awhile since Vampires were heavily associated with Zombies for awhile, and no pun intended, that genre got beat to death multiple times over.

Blade had such cool vampires. Vampires are best when sexy but also dangerous and powerful. When there is bite to them

Zombies had every varition of mutant you can imagine made

The zombie genre just when crazy for awhile. I have no idea why. I know 2012 really kicked off the survival horror revival in games and introduced apocalyptic movies, and zombie just so happened to intersect beautifully with both, but still. For awhile every new block buster had zombies in it.

Its kind of funny, Korea movies are like a decade behind the trends of Hollywood and they are currently going through a zombie obsession of their own right now.

Funny. How powerful do you feel vampires should be and what kind of powers?

It depends on the setting. Good stories work best when the various factions and groups within it are relatively balanced. But then again if your doing an apocalyptic movie, showing the protagonist be vastly outnumbered and just barely surviving is kind of the point. So again, it depends on the setting and the type of story the author is trying to tell.

Urban fantasy type is often the best vampire setting

Even then there's a big difference between Twilight and world of darkness in terms of power level's and world building.

World of Darkness my thought on it was make me more action focused with a side of vampire poltiics and we are good

Look for a shallow self insert teenage romance,Twilight is not that bad. Its like junk food, sure its not my taste but for some its their guilty pleasure. I mean I used to really love the shallow superpowered Naruto and Harry Potter stories, so I don't have a leg to stand on.

With world of darkness they had too many world ending threats. Some of the best stories in that was when it was purely street level and dealing with the minuets of the culture and politic's of various mythical creatures. But nope, each writer had to out do themselves so we got a stupid number of world ending miggufins that get used once and then forgotten.

Vampire shadowrun would be a banger concept. World of darkness is not action focused enough for me
